Happiest to work, i'd be happy too making 12 bucks an hour working at mcdonalds
Not if your rent was 4.00 per square foot.
Last time i made 12 bucks an hour I was 15 years ago.
California also hosts 4 out of the 5 most miserable cities in the U.S.
1. Stockton, CA
2. Miami, FA
3. Merced, CA
4. Modesto, CA
5. Sacramento, CA

I'd rather be in Texas with no state taxes any day of the week.
I don't believe that list at ll.
lol Memphis ranked high for anything positive except BBQ and the place to find the best blues in the world, tbh.
Living in So Cal is better than anything i can imagine; next to the beach, an hour from snow, great weather, diverse group of nationality, few hours from vegas, awesome night life (although i dont go to clubs as much), etc
Yeah i know about the pollution and crime, thats why i live in orange county!!!
Nothing says life and culture like living in Texas.

What an odd thing to say . . .
Agreed with the bolded statement. So Cal has everything that you want and you don't have to drive far to get it. Nothing feels better than driving on the Hwy at night while bumping music in your car.
Interesting that Washington DC is also rated 15th most miserable.
A complete and utter lie. El Paso is not a top 10 happiest city to work for. GTFO with your hearsay BS.
i spent a month in el paso one day.
I definitely know the feeling.
That's because the central valley blows. The places where most of the people live(SoCal, Bay area) are actually pretty ing awesome.
I could be wrong and I'm too lazy to look it up, but I would imagine the salaries in DC are on the high side and thus puts them on the top end of this list.
If you mean massive coming City and State layoffs by that almost bankrupt State?
I live near there and DC does totally suck but the suburbs ok in some parts!
And all the drugs you want between Beale and the Peabody.
When they went into El Paso, there were only 3 legal workers. They owned the businesses that paid less than minimum wage for illegal labor. That made them all happy.
there are some really nice places downtown but for the most part it's a dump.
This article wasnt about the physical places. I was about jobs and opportunities ie. the happiest places to work. God our schooling system needs a huge revamp.
