There's news that's broken out that a 17-year-old girl from Connecticut recently had sexual encounters with New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez.
According to this teen, she claims to have "proof" that she was with Mark in his home, and stating "We hooked up."

Can't blame Mark Sanchez for picking them that young. Girls nowadays have a load of miles on them by age 20. And you also can't blame the girl. Mark is a young, good looking QB, in one of the biggest markets. Every women and their daughters wish they could sleep with him.

Sanchez is 24, the girl is 17. I hate the Jets as much as anybody, but this is a re ed story. A 24 year old guy porking a 17 year old girl (who gets into clubs with a fake ID to meet older guys and prolly has the mileage of a girl in her 20's) isn't even a story without the 24 YO being an NFL QB.

I don't think it's a huuuuge deal, but it was probably in Mark Sanchez' best interest to just have avoided it. I don't know what's completely true or not, but I've heard reports that Mark knew she was 17 years old and that the girl in fact told him that. But then she said something to the effect that "it's cool, I'm legal in New York" and then Sanchez was like "cool, let's go." Yes, it's legal. And, no it's nowhere nearly as bad as 50 and 16. However, being in the spotlight and a public figure, it wasn't exactly the smartest thing to do. And while the age difference isn't that big, there is still quite a difference between a 17 year old high school girl and even a 19 year old college girl. Especially when you can bang hot 21 year old women, I'm not sure this was a very smart choice on his part.
