Never understood why Detroit didn't want him Athletic defender, who scores and is as team player. Those guys are hard to find.
What can i say? Nothing but love for this kid. He is the epitome of what an NBA player should be. He is humble, hardworking and does whatever the team needs.
He is defensive minded but could easily be a 20ppg player if he got more shots.
By far and away my favourite Nuggs player. The future is good in Denver![]()

It actually isn't but yeah Afflalo is a good player.
Afflalo's been on my radar for months now. He hasn't disappointed. Actually, he's exceeded my expectations. Really impressive stuff from him.
The guy leads all shooting guards in true shooting percentage. He's 7th in TS% overall.
he wasnt good there. he was a decent shooter and undersized. once he could shoot and became automatic from 3 he became a player
Given their powerful front line, their more-that-adequate back-court, and JR Smith? The Nuggs inability to win games falls on Karl.
Nuggs bench: 12 of 121 points.
It's a legitimate question. Afflalo's shots would rattle in and out. He wasn't that far away from becoming a good shooter--I expected it from him eventually. I'd much rather have him and that contract at shooting guard (with Rodney Stuckey or T-Mac at point guard) then Ben Gordon.
UCLA my brother ... BRuin with pride.
his shot was a bit inconsistent in college too ...but he defended hard and always came up big when needed. He is my favorite player from the Final Four teams a few years back ...
Would LOVE to have him come home to Los Angeles ...great pickup by Denver what did you guys give up to get him?
I always wondered how good they woulda been if Afflalo stayed at UCLA another year. A starting lineup of Westbrook, Afflalo, Shipp, Mbah a Moute and Love w/ Collison off the bench might have ended up being one of the best college teams in recent memory.
