Spencer Hawes on Tim Duncan :
“I am biased because he was my favorite player growing up.”
Spencer the next Duncan
Phily is a dangerous team right now. Spurs have a bad luck playing this team when they are on the top of their game.
Tough game TBH, a trap one
u mad?
There won't be a next Duncan.
Also, Spurs 105, 76ers 98
wasn't gonna play anyways. Hopefully he's available for tomorrow.
Career High Scrub o' the Night:
Thaddeus Young
Philly is 7-3 in its last 10, and has averaged 103 PPG over that span. We better execute efficiently. Wouldn't be surprised if we lost this.
Let's look at the last 10.
Sat 22 vs .574 Utah W 96-85 Utah in free fall and not a good road team
Mon 24 vs .500 Phoenix W 105-95 Who doesn't beat Phoneyix?
Wed 26 @ .264 Toronto W 107-94 Ditto
Fri 28 vs .519 Memphis L 94-99 Not a great home loss
Sun 30 vs .574 Denver W 110-99 Good win
Wed 02 @ .302 New Jersey W 106-92 Yawn
Fri 04 vs .510 New York W 100-98 Yawn, part 2, and then
Sun 06 @ .510 New York L 103-117 ... they lose the next one
Tue 08 @ .635 Atlanta W 117-83 Best win of the bunch
Wed 09 vs .630 Orlando L 95-99 closs loss on a B2B
So yeah, they've had a nice run, but with the exception of the Atlanta win there's nothing that really stands out as a signature W.
they are better now then they record shows
Philly supporter here.
Iggy and Brand have been hot lately. Hawes and Speights have been pathetic so Duncan should have a field day. Jrue Holiday has been inconsistent lately, if he's having a good game Philly may stay in the game. Meeks, if not making threes, is a liability.
Bench production from Lou Williams and Thad Young (either can get hot on any night) is necessary for the Sixers to win any game against a good team. Turner is an all-rounder who does a great job rebounding. Nocioni doesn't play much these days because he sucks.
Basically Spurs should win this easily. Even if it gets close near the end, Doug Collins loves to run isos for Lou Williams, which is good news for all opponents cause he will (usually) throw up several bad shots and miss them.
It will take too many good things to happen for the Sixers and too many bad things to happen for the Spurs for any other result.
Spurs 102 Sixers 89
Blair and Brand should be an interesting matchup.
Gut feeling this is an L.
(Hopefully it's just gas or something.)
Spurs gotta get outta Philly with a win!
Not only the gut, but the brain is saying the same thing. We have not played very good defense of late and our offense usually dips when we are a little tired.
Add the fact the the 76ers are playing their best ball of the year and the Spurs have a comfortable lead and you just might get one of those efforts where we are down 20 some where in the 3rd quarter.
ing home white uni's on the road....I hate that .![]()
i hate wearing white on the road
So confusing when they're in white on the road.![]()
They always ing lose when they wear them on the road. I hate that...
I will assume Jefferson will never cease to have those brain fart - easy to avoid - turnovers
Philly is a dangerous team. They're one of the most athletic squads in the Association, they're deeper than most teams, and they have a coach who doesn't let them quit. They also have a great home record (16-9).
I wouldn't be surprised if the Spurs lost tonight.
I hate when Blair plays Isolation offense...he forces it too much sometimes....
