Yeah. The one that passed. I didn't know they a bet........I mean another one. I haven't followed them since Crash![]()

Glad that Arcade Fire won!!!
Actually I think The Grammys is the best major award show. I enjoy seeing all of these top artists performing live during one show. I don't really care who wins...I just like to see the acts.
So whose nutsack did Eminem have on his face for this one?
How come Arcade Fire didn't win best alternative album?
That John Mayer, Norah Jones, Keith Urban combo was excellent.
Agree. I don't pay attention to Urban much, but when I catch him performing I'm always surprised by his musicianship.
I wonder how big of a backlash Arcade Fire will get from their indie following for winning a Grammy. Subarbs sucked ass (half the cd was useless rehash), the academy obviously just wanted some indie cred. Still, they deserved awards from previous efforts so that's nice they have something now.
lady antebellum...wins ...song of the year for ripping off the melody to;
``eye in the sky'' from Alan Parsons Project...from the 80's?...
besides all the garbage rap crap, hillbilly chanting, and re-gurgitated punk/new wave ...
they give the top song to a rip off of an 80's song...
music today....
Hmmmm, I compared the two songs on my own and they sounded similar, but when I found a mash up...there's just enough difference to never give Alan Parsons Project a chance in court. Both songs are good, and certainly my appreciation for the Lady A song has fallen, but I don't think it's enough to say they completely ripped-off APP.
Lady Gaga has ripped off the Eurythmics, Madonna, and Ace of Base - all while being called unique and original. Much worse crime imo.
can't argue there...
the lady a song tho' is a complete rip-off---on the chorus...then they change a tiny bit --on the verses...but I still think SOMEONE at the record company should have made them re-consider...
or at least split the royalties with alan parsons...imo
there's only 12 notes, man.
It's called influence, Stringer.
Exactly what I meant in my earlier post. I don't look forward to the obvious. Who could ask for more when a show begins with a piano player that has played on Songs in the the Key of Life and a drummer that played on Off the Wall.

love me some grammays
I almost bit my tongue off
how did a song released in august 2009 win an awards show in february 2011?
Further.
How did an artist who's first album came out in 2006 win new artist of the year?
Never heard of Arcade Fire but I have heard Lady A and since I'm not a big fan of current music I watched bits and pieces and I thought Katy Perry's singing on the swing was horrible.
Yeah my song goes "Dun dun dun duh-duh-dun dun" theirs goes "dun dun dun dun dun dun." Totally different, I don't know how anyone could even compare the two.
Oh shucks, I missed the Grammy's.
