so it takes JJ Barea getting the flu for Roddy to finally be activated? In that case I gotta figure out a way to be JJ's personal chef, I'll just lightly poison his food every night.
via twitter: Roddy B just announced to be active tomorrow night. Carlisle not sure how many minutes he'll play. JJ Barea (flu) not expected to be active.

It is really weird that the first game JJ has missed all year happens to fall on the game Roddy comes back...

Perhaps a blessing in disguise. Allows Beaubois to have a chance to immediately get extended minutes and have more of a chance to get back in sync.
Beaubois should be on the court any time Dirk is not, so that they always have a guy who can create his own shot at any time, and hit them efficiently. Terry and/or Barea should pretty much only be in the game when Dirk is. I would have Barea and Terry be joint 6th men, and both come off the bench after about 4-5 minutes for Kidd and Stevenson (so that they are out there with Dirk), then after Dirk goes out around 10 minutes in, bring Kidd and Roddy in, and take Barea and JET out. Bring Marion in for Peja after about 7-8 minutes, then slide him over to PF, and bring Stevenson back in at SF.
Kidd needs to drop to around 28-30 mpg.
Terry needs to drop to around 24-26 mpg.
Stevenson down around 11-13 mpg.
Barea should pretty much get all the minutes at PG that Kidd doesnt have, because he is by far the best option at PG after Kidd. If he stays around 18-20 and Kidd gets 28-30, I'm cool with that. So this way Roddy gets all of Barea's minutes at SG, as well as a chunk of Terry's and Stevenson's.
Why does JJ have to be out the first game Roddy's back? I don't want Roddy playing any point, that's where his inexperience/rawness is exposed the most.
Carlisle seemed to suggest that he was going to replace Deshawn as the SG in the starting line up yesterday. Maybe he'll bring the ball up a few times.... but I expect (hope) JET will take up back up PG duties. Roddy is more of a natural SG anyway.

The only way he can improve is by getting minutes at PG. I agree that he's not idea, but then again, neither was Tony Parker when he came into the league. But over time, he developed into a guy who still plays more like a 2 guard, but is more than capable of running an offense halfway decently. That's what we need Beaubois to turn into.
Oh I can't wait if Roddy shoots 1-6 tonight or something. GNSF will celebrate harder than ever before.

Good to have Roddy back. The question will be starting him at SG to keep JET as the 6th man and JJ as the backup point. Does RC want to have both Roddy and Peja in the starting lineup defensively? I don't think its that bad of a thing since Chandler is in the middle, but its something to watch for.
