Jordan 6 Finals MVPs
Kobe 2 Finals MVPs
Younger Kobe was an assassin, but was never in the same class as Jordan, ever.

Problem with this thread... Kobe is scratched in a arm, and is suddenly news everywhere, stupid surprise if he plays with a small injury, etc.
On MJ NBA days, there was no hourly reports through the internet. MJ could have had played with 5 different types of cancer, none one would have known, he could have sucked, and everyone would flamed him anyway.
Kobe is pretty much like Pierce (maybe not as much, but you get my point). This two love the "I'm a hero, I'm dying of my wounds, but I'll do my best and win for my people" crap (only Pierce invents his injuries on the court).
Not saying Kobe is not tough, because he is. But OP is an idiot by trying to make a point on toughness considering what the internet was back then, and what it is now. And even more considering how the game was played back then.
MJ played basketball successfully with a fever of 102, stomach virus, nausea, and weakness.
Jordan looked awful that game. Sometimes you can look at someone and tell they're not well. Even if you just chalk it up to diarrhea, he went out and scored 38 points, including the game winning three, which is still pretty damned impressive (even for someone that's completely healthy).
The difference in Kobe's episodes is they're used by his faithful fans as an excuse for his failures.
Kobe played pretty good one night with vaginal discomfort, puffy breasts and a stinging sensation in his bunghole.
To be fair, Kobe himself uses excuses as well, not just his fans..
You might be able to suggest that he plays things up to be dramatic, but I've certainly never heard him make excuses. If there are examples out there I'd be interested in seeing them.
