I haven't really liked Queens of the Stone Age since Nick Oliveri left.
I saw Queens of the Stone Age at Lollapalooza way back when Songs for the Deaf came out. I liked "No One Knows" but didn't want to buy the CD based on one song. I originally went to go see 30 Seconds to Mars and Incubus (hoping they'd play some stuff off of SCIENCE but knowing it wouldn't happen) and thought I'd give QOTSA a listen.
The next day my GF and I were buying the CD, they were so good.
I haven't been a big fan since Jack White left. I'm a fan of their album Brothers tho.
No Texas dates. Looks like New Orleans it will have to be...
although I'm almost certain they will do a show in austin on the 3rd leg of the tour this summer.

Kyuss was so great if you subtract the singer. Unfortunately I kinda feel the same way about JH as a frontman.
they'll be in austin for sxsw headlining @ la zona rosa. wristbands are on sale today for 165.
Well, I fail. Went to buy my tickets to the New Orleans show this morning, literally moments after they went on sale, and they were already sold out.
Yep. Now there's a ton of them for sale online at over $300 a pop. I love the band, but not enough to spend more on one ticket than I spent for tickets to all seven days of Jazz Fest.
Did the same thing this morning and I was able to grab 2 at 10:01.
Should have posted the presale code yesterday for you.
I actually could have gotten it myself since I follow the band on facebook. Likely wouldn't have made a difference, though, since my yesterday was so busy. Oh well all around.
