DE died because his safety gear wasn't on correctly (crash webbing off center for comfort), his seat position was wrong, and he used the old style open face helmet. NASCAR threw Simpson safety products under the bus rather than say "one of our leading drivers was stupid and stubborn and it cost him his life". It's ironic that his death led to much stricter safety protocols that he would have chafed at mightily. You literally wouldn't be allowed to start a race the way DE started Daytona in 2001.
And crashing into that wall didn't help either.

Race drivers realize that they have a very high probability of hitting a wall or another car. Some decide winning is more important than living. Dale was one of those.

I don't respond to trolls. I am not a fan of Nascar or any motor sports.

And yeah, if my memory is correct some troll did get banned for hating on the deceased. I really wish Kori would step up and make this forum quality instead of a cage of rats. This is where all the gooks, tranzies, and pill popping lowlifes come to hang out because this is the only forum they can truly express themselves without getting banned 10 times over. There isn't any rules or guidelines to follow so these so-called fans have set up camp and are here to stay. Cleaning this place out would require a lot of pesticides and rat poison followed by Quarantine and lock down to filter out the spread of decay. It's a tall order and requires a lot of man power. Kori can't do it alone
