Swords, the goods, par the usual
More hyperbole. One guy asks what I do, I tell him, then some 5th name troll says "nuh uh" and I offer a bet. Why not? I know I cannot lose.
You spin that into me beating my chest about a degree. I didn't just graduate last year. I don't brag about the degree, I will make money from some dumbass willing to put money on their stance however.
Swords, the goods, par the usual
Here's a good example of hyperbole at it's finest. You pull a percentage right out of your ass and even if it was accurate, it says you spend half your time talking about things other than basketball.
Then you stretch the opposite direction in regards to the one you are attacking, saying that "everybody" knows I am a nuissance (sic) poster.
You obviously don't get it. It doesn't matter if you think I am a nuisance poster when half of your posts are pretty much trolls anyhow. It doesn't matter if the large majority of posters hate me if the large majority of posters are trolls anyhow. Hated by a hater, not a bad thing.
It often gives me a smirk to see how agitated you clowns get when someone offers a different take than the leader/follower protocol generates here normally. Many of you don't know how to deal with it. A new poster has to be for something or against it, and it becomes a polarized group that denies access to anyone who isn't. It's funny.
Even though I didn't call out any names, you somehow got your feelings hurt because I said you aren't elite. Maybe you feel you've earned an elite status over the time you've posted here, but it's a forum, one of tons of forums, and you are otherwise unknown. Neal with it.The best part, is that the MAJORITY of your posts on ST, are posts in which you are defending yourself and/or arguing with the same people that you are attempting to put down and criticize..if you think they are all "low-lives" or whatever you would like to call them, what does that make you, for spending so much time arguing with them?..
You can believe in life on Mars, that doesn't mean houses will go up there.I absolutely believe there are "elite" posters in every forum..they bring the goods in multiple ways, whether it's entertainment or basketball discussion, it's the same for every forum..it's a majority opinion..

Nice take. I have to disagree with parts of it though...
As an aside, here's a sample of the "worthwhile" content Brutalis adds to ST. After D. Rose finished healing the sick and turning water to wine in front of every Spur fan's eyes last Thurs night, the inevitable "Rose has my vote for MVP" thread was created.
Brutalis' contribution:
What would ST do w/o you, you punny little er, you?
every time I read a DMC post, I throw up in my mouth a little bit
Yet you continue to read. You must love to swallow hot, gooey liquids filled with chunks.
But you didn't stand by it enough to actually put money down. It's one thing to have a stance, quite another to have an investment.
Also, an accounting student with ties to the "Bloods" wouldn't know anything about being an engineer anyhow. You are too busy calculating how much beer to pour out for the dead homies.
Whereas you're too busy engineering large devices to stuff up your asshole to know anything about, well, anything
I don't invent things. That would be an inventor. There are already things out there to put up your ass if that's your thing.
But, I have to give you a D- on the attempted rebuttal. Really poor job and lack of execution.
Speaking of swallowing...
"Kori, when am I going to be blued?"

This doesn't make any sense. Are you saying in order to be elite, you need the world wide popular vote? You do realize were talking about Spurstalk, not the world Wide Web and the clusters of forums that exist on it. Elite status is something you earn over time. Nobody anoints you elite status when you reach a certain plateau of posting excellence. Because you declare a poster non-elite doesn't make it so. Metaphorically speaking, Elite status isn't some visual aid or guiding light and everyone's interpretation of the word may vary. It's not much different from the word troll. Its a heavily weighted assumption that new posters who join a forum like this with minimal intellect and lesser knowledge than current board members who's first few posts contain smack must be trolls. Yet, they see the content in the NBA forum being lauded about and afterall, they're just trying to fit in.
tbh I didn't expect this thread to last this long. Thanx for that everyone.
I hate NASCAR, but joking around about somebody's death is pretty shallow.
How can you live in Arkansas and complain about how trashy something looks? Your state is known for inbreeding more than anything else.
maybe they're trying to compete with the NBA and TNT ..... trying to draw in the 'neck demographic
Unless you want to totally skew the concept of elite, no one here is elite. Popular and elite are two different things.
Ok, there's no such as an elite poster. The concept of being elite on a forum is something some guys made up and the rest of you just toed the line. You do realize were talking about Spurstalk, not the world Wide Web and the clusters of forums that exist on it.
No.Elite status is something you earn over time.
Again, you are nobody to everyone except your friends and family. You are not elite. Your posting isn't elite. You would have to be a world renowned writer to be elite. It's like saying I am an elite basketball player, then qualifying it with "among my friends". You are taking a huge on the concept of being elite. It means nothing after that.
A troll is quite obvious, and it's not subjective to the person doing it.Nobody anoints you elite status when you reach a certain plateau of posting excellence. Because you declare a poster non-elite doesn't make it so. Metaphorically speaking, Elite status isn't some visual aid or guiding light and everyone's interpretation of the word may vary. Based on your statements here, only elite posters understand the posts of elite posters, because others do not know the game well enough. That begs the question though, so it's probably false.
You still going to rob me in Dallas, Mr Blood Accountant?
So ing a college student is pedophilia?
It gets you one step closer to being elite.
