Dunno. I really dug In Rainbows, but I just don't love it. It doesn't flow as well as any album not named HTTT or PH.
HTTT probably had the worst feel to it, though, as it didn't really know what it was. There's dark songs, and some happy songs.
In Rainbows I can listen to back to back to back to back and never get tired of it.. not one song is bad in that cd, they're all memorable in their own right..
I started with In Rainbows and I still think it's one of the best, not because I started with it.. but because even after listening to Kid A and OK Computer it was up there with them.
i remember when ok computer was considered groundbreaking... i like less synths, guess that's i like their first 2 records more than anything else i've heard of theirs.
BTW sons, I was warming up some beans earlier, and dancing to Lotus Flower with my headphones in, and my uncle walks in. That was pretty embarrassing.
Yes. The Brit-Rock songs threw me off and seemed lazy, and I was initially bummed at the finished version of Arpeggi even though Nude, House of Cards, and Videotape were better than I could have imagined.
TKOL is like a really good essay where every paragraph is really well thought out. I dunno, I think it's up there with OK Computer and Kid A. When I was a freshman in high school, someone burned me every Radiohead B-side up until that point and it had so many good songs that I was wondering why they weren't on the record. This album feels like those B-sides, like a discovery and considering how much material Radiohead has, that's amazing IMO. It's also really optimistic I think, it doesn't feel too heavy or like its on auto-pilot - its just the right balance of thoughtfulness and jamming out.
HTTT had too many songs, didn't feel focused and sometimes felt redundant. If it was 9-10 songs, it's an instant classic. Nothing wrong with PH being at the top of someone's list, it's great rock music (Blow Out is a Top 10 track too).
this sandbag . I have a ty internet connection it timed out, now sandbag is saying i already downloaded the album. It gives some dumb ing email as a customer service poc. I emailed them 10 hours ago no response. I understand radiohead wants to be cheeky and not use itunes, but for sake atleast debug the sorry ing distributor before you use it.

The wind section in "Bloom" totally sounds like es Brew. Pretty cool.
And "Codex" and "Give Up the Ghost" are just beautiful.
Is that the new hipster anti-conformist mantra? "Amnesiac was actually pretty good." I know it's mainstream to say it, but Amnesiac was okay at best. Extremely weak for a Radiohead album, right there with Pablo Honey and The Bends.
