right or wrong there are people convicted of murder getting 8-15 years.
i support this, not because theyre locking the guy up, but because theyre locking his terrible jokes up.
right or wrong there are people convicted of murder getting 8-15 years.
But, 20 years? That is ridiculous. Just make him take the video down, pay a fine, written apology, and community service. Maybe an internet probation period. LOL!
The guys an idiot. You don't with preteens and not have the parents with you back.... but 20 years is crazy. funcking murders dont even get that much time.. he is a waste of prison space
i've seen a murderer(drunk driver) get 10 yrs probation and a slap on the wrist while the parents sat in the back of the court room crying over the fact that that dip is probably back on the streets in his ride drinking and driving.
this is ridiculous! like someone else said, it's only fitting hollywood gets away with it but the regular joe might serve 20 yrs.
This is ed up. Overprotective parents piss me off.
The kid made a big mistake & deserves punishment of some kind, but not a 20 year felony conviction. That's not justice.
Mass hysteria lies just below the surface when people's kids are concerned. I remember when I was doing my teacher training in the late 80s there was a mass hysteria about nationwide satanic cults supposedly preying on schoolchildren at childcare facilities. Folks were convicted and lives were ruined.
Excellent movie about one of those cases, The McMartin Trial (1995)
This case and the outrage surrounding it are a total waste of resources. If they give him felony jail time, it's strictly to appease the parents because no one else is blinded enough to think he's worth putting in prison.
Now, I do think he should have to do community service (AWAY FROM CHILDREN) and be brought up on some kind of trespass or false representation charges with regard to entering the school on false pretense. He also had someone that let him do it, so they should be given the same sentence.
But sexual charges, jail, and all this outrage? Save it and focus on the real threats.
Yup there was obviously someone "on the inside" that facilitated the whole thing. I know that every year at registration, I am given a form to sign that either consents to or refuses to allow my kids to be filmed for school purposes only. Apparently schools attempt to protect themselves from this sort of thing. I wonder if the school has conveniently stepped into the background and let the parents have at that poor kid, to deflect attention from themselves?
The sexual charges are a bit much and I truly feel for the kid. But this is the world we live in.....just how dense do you have to be to think that "Sex, Kids and Videotape" is ever a good idea??
And yes, when it comes to their kids, parents are irrational (precisely the reason I have always avoided pediatrics in my nursing practice). Pointing fingers at parents, all the time, for everything, is the perfect one size fits all solution. The day one of the little darlings goes missing and suffers at the hands of some sicko, we'll all be sure to ask "But where were the parents?"
I agree with a poster who said that maybe this was just the beginning of a pedophile act. What kind of sick bas would find humorous to sing sex lyrics to children. He definitely needs counciling because he'll be hunting kids in a few years from now.
I agree however that those charges (for 20 yrs) are BS, but there are reasons to be worried about that young fella.
This is beyond ridiculous.
He didn't sing sex lyrics to children, he sang a clean version to them, the room was empty so he sang it again this time dirty, then edited the video to make it look like he was singing to them.
Just look at this dude, he's gonna get his ass beat in jail, the only way he'll be able to survive is if he joins a gang. He's going to be going to the same place where murderers go, all for making a HARMLESS video.
Are you talking about this?
I know he didn't sing sex lyrics to those kids, but why even make it look like he did? That's the sickness (it's more than a bad taste in jokes).
could face. it usually never gets the highest or maximum penalty. but he should get something for what he did. parents got a legit beef.
The Eire part of all this if it was just another southpark episode everyone would be praising it.
If that's the case most of the posters here would already be locked up.
what the is it to you why he did it? If you honestly think this joke was "sick" I really suggest you never leave your little morality bubble. You might get a little scared
are you people ing insane? I have one simple question, what harm was done?
I for one will feel soooo much better knowing this kid will get 3 hots & a cot for 20. I honestly felt fear, not only for myself & my son, but many unborn children across the world.![]()
ing ridiculous.
Then again, we can sue because hot coffee burnt us while driving or because we are the re theif who falls through a skylight onto a knife from the counter of the home we attempted to rob.
I shouldn't, but will mention the woman who ran over her husband "accidentally" 37 times & got 10 years probation. Pure American justice.

And yet, Clerks did it and they are revered as comic geniuses. How many times in Hollywood have we seen children used in this exact same way, not only without punishment, but with the exact opposite reaction? If it happens in a hyped movie, it's hilarious. Roman Polanski can actually have sex with underage children and get away with NO punishment, but this guy could get 20? Please.
They searched his home in a police raid looking for potential child porn or anything su ious. They found absolutely nothing.
The child in Clerks had permission from the parent. The parents of those kids didn't have a say in the matter as far as I can tell. The kid just walked into the school and used their kids for his production. He broke some rules, maybe not 20 years in prison, but certainly a nice community service sentence..
Well I know Roman Polanski has no bearing at all on this case, but since you brought him up.......as I recall Polanski was hit with about 6 sexual abuse charges. He served a few weeks of incarceration for a psychiatric exam. Upon release he was to be sentenced on all the charges, but fled the country. Sentencing on all those charges are still pending in this country and would be carried out if he were to stop hiding in countries that refuse extradition. Any clearing of charges or whatever, has been done in other countries, he is still a sexual criminal in the United States.......how is that getting away with NO punishment? There is no contradiction here.
Absolutely. If he had done the exact same thing and used the footage for a "Barney vs Big Bird ABC Showdown" it would still be wrong. But the sexual abuse charges are absurd; unfortunately these days anything that implies kids and sex is going to produce mass hysteria. Shame he doesn't have a decent attorney.
You aren't even allowed to take pics at the zoo or amusement park if kids (that aren't yours) are in the photos. So, using video of kids in this way without the parent's permission is, of course, going to be a big deal.
I don't think he'll get 20 years. If there's no child porn at his house or other illegal stuff, he'll probably just get probation.
