Whatever the case, his life is now ruined thanks to overprotective uptight parents.
so te ally.. lets just say.. he put a vid on youtube of him singing to the kids the legit version of the song..
he still needs to be penalized because he put the vid of those kids on there without their consent?
Whatever the case, his life is now ruined thanks to overprotective uptight parents.
Saying the guy is manufacturing child porn is ridiculous. I doubt this will ever go to trial. He'll get a couple of years probations in a deal with prosecutor for something that has nothing to with child porn .
and a judicial system that's run by a bunch of imbeciles.
You got his taste obviously. Just don't do the same, you know you'll get in trouble now
just one of the many instances of human beings failing to apply logic to their thinking..
great answer. Like I said, NO harm was done
He doesn't say anything sexually explicit with the child in frame.
20 years is crazy.....let a couple of the dads beat the out of him and lets all move on.
What?
You don't understand what you are saying.
The youtuber did not say anything bad in front of the children.
That clerks clip is the exact same thing. and the child DOES appear in the frame with the sexually explicit audio dubbed over. The children never actually heard this stuff, it's all edited in after.
The only difference is that the Clerks people got parental permission to use their children on film, and the singer did not.
That's not worth a felony. The kid was trying to be funny on a youtube video. There's a generational gap here and that's what is causing the misunderstanding. The kid is not a pedo. It's a joke.
Unless you are a parent yourself, you probably have no idea what you are talking about.
This should help clear things up for the re ed among us. This generational gap is a figment. It's really apathy. Sometimes someone has to be publicly executed to get a point across.
There will be a plea bargain and the dude will serve a few months if that and some community service.
And parents don't know what this generation of kids are about. It goes both ways. Thus why we are having these issues.
It's not child porn. Had he just pulled a video from the internet and edited it, that probably wouldn't have cost him much. He was actually in that school with those kids, and did that anyhow.
If you were the parent, and some dude sang to your kid's class then did that , you guys wouldn't be so liberal about it.
Kids are always about what they are taught to be about. There's no kid's rights. The law is what it is. Have a sit in and protest it.
When you become an adult, you are held to different standards. It's a hard lesson for many.
Wow. 20 years for this is pathetic. I do hold the guy at fault for this type of pranking, but 20 ing years? Please.
People who do way worse things hardly ever get what they deserve. Murderers get 15-20 years and that's with eligibility of parole before the actual sentence is served. This type of "justice" is injustice.
What's your point? This is how the system works? If it is the norm, than this system is ed up. I guess it is treason to offend someone.![]()
That's a young person's outlook. It is how the system works, and if you don't like it, stay in school, become a lawmaker and change it.
If it's on the books it didn't just get there. Learn the law before you go off doing whatever makes you feel good. Just a tip.
Nice 19th century mentality. Why don't we just go ahead and hang him in the town square Gangs Of New York style?
the most ironic thing about this whole situation is that there's a 99.99% chance none of these kids would have EVER known about this video..until now
Hyperbole obviously (to most).
Still, the point is valid. The liberalism you experienced as a kid goes away for the most part as an adult. You are no longer immune from the laws that mom and dad had to follow while you were growing up.
So?the most ironic thing about this whole situation is that there's a 99.99% chance none of these kids would have EVER known about this video..until now
Should it be ok for some dude to peep into your kid's windows at night and jerk off? They won't know about it.
Not trying to play the age card, but in the kid's world, fairness is an individual concept. This is fair, that's not fair, blah blah blah... As an adult, you learn that there is indeed a system of laws and what seemed fair as a kid was really just what made you happy. To live in a society, everyone's well being has to be considered, and laws are supposed to do that. Some are bogus, but that's what the election process is all about. Write your congressman and about it. ing online isn't going to do anything but, once again, make you feel better.
Speaking of hyperbole.
There was nothing "devious" about this prank. It was just a joke made in poor taste. I understand that someone may need to be made an example out of when it comes to children's safety (or whatever the ), but this guy doesn't deserve to be THAT scapegoat.
The beginning of a pedophile act? Are you ing kidding me?! He didn't actually sing it to the children. It was edited to make it look this way to create shock value...which worked. The kids weren't hurt. The kids have probably seen worse on tv, and now their ridiculous parents want to ruin his life because of a prank for youtube?
Actually, to be perfectly ing honest, if kids were to come here to SpursTalk they would probably be exposed to much more harmful material than this. Should all the trolls here be brought up of criminal charges as well?
Point is, the guy deserves some sort of justice, but not what he's been given.
, 20 years of his life is now going to be spent in a prison. You got to be kidding me.
I don't think he's been convicted of anything, nor sentenced. There are lots of smaller crimes that have huge maximum sentences. Most people get little to no time however.
