My guess is that Kori shut it down because of the behavior of Spurs fans in it. If so, it's unfortunate since she's effectively penalizing non-Spurs fans for the behavior of Spurs fans.

Bring better takes to the forum besides "Manu could do that 10x better than <insert Kobe/Wade/LeBron/Dirk/Griffin/whoever> because he's the best player on earth!" and maybe basketball discussions would have a bigger place and trolling would take a step back.
Again, most trolls do it because almost no SPURS FANS (the largest population in the NBA Forum) bring anything worthwhile to discuss. You can either post a legitimate topic for discussion that gets 3 decent replies, or just post another "LMAO SPURS ARE GAY!" thread and get 8 pages.

It's the fault of both. The one's hijack a quality thread and it turns into a trollfest, the other's let quality threads being hijacked because they respond to every damn troll post. We had this before - Mavs fans a couple of years back, Suns fans a couple of years back. Only difference: Mavs and Suns actually had respect for the Spurs. The Laker Trolls now (although we know at least 3 of them are Bump) get under the skin of Spurs fans by aiming directly at Duncan or Manu. And many Spurs fans lack the creativity to counter-troll with anything creative.
