The spurs have no possibility to get somebody worthy to be added for the POs so I think there will be 0 move. Three priorities till the POs should be IMO keep on monitoring PT, trying to develop Tiago and praising to get everybody healthy.
I think Denver is playing a dangerous game with Melo they could end with nothing

Splitter for Blatche. He's on the block in WAS and could help us win this year solidifying our frontcourt.
What a steal for the Nets that would be. I don't know why Denver would want picks this year unless they're guaranteed to be top 5.
The only player I'd really want it Rip Hamilton if the Pistons decide to buy him out. Otherwise the Spurs might as well just go with what they have.
New Jersey owns protected 2012 first rounders from Houston (top 14 protected) and Golden State (top 7 protected).

If they're 2012 picks that changes things entirely. I was thinking 2011.

Charlotte is a good potential trade partner for Spurs with Dominic McGuire and Derrick Brown. This is the kind of player they should target to fill the end of the bench.
Spurs need a big man, maybe try and pry Nene away
from Denver if and when Melo is dealt
Spurs don't have the assets and they can't give up one of Manu/RJ/Tim/Parker to get him without creating another hole even larger somewhere else.
Spurs have nothing that could interest Denver
Once the Melo deal gets done, a lot more deals will happen. Whether they are directly affecting by it or not, teams are waiting to see how it changes the landscape

Can't figure out what Boston has that Houston could possibly want.

Boston has long held interest in Shane Battier and HOU is motivated to move him. But BOS lack of assets makes it unlikely
Exactly.
At least one or two of J O'Neal, Nate, Baby, or Perkins would have to go to Houston to make the numbers work. Don't see a mutually agreeable scenario there.

Melo is close to being dealt to Knicks, possibly tonight, a source tells Y! Sports.
Maybe the Celtics are hedging their bets with how bad the Lakers are playing with the frontcourt situation. Celtics may need more emphasis on some insurance now with perimeter/role players moreso than having the reserves of center.

FWIW:
Carmelo Anthony traded to New York Knicks
The Carmelo Anthony trade saga is nearly over.
Indications are that a trade is imminent with the New York Knicks, with only minor details to be worked out before an agreement is reached, a league source said.
Anthony was not at the Nuggets' practice as they resumed workouts following the All-Star break.

Be funny if the Celtics traded Shaq, though.
