You there, boy, what year is this??
Did I jump too far back?!
3-8 (one with the big fish)
5-6 (one with the turtles)
3rd fortress in world 6
7-4 (water level)
7-8 (one with all the plants you have to dodge)
2nd fortress of world 7 (almost impossible)
8-1
8-2 (hardest jump in the game)
fast moving battleship level in world 8
other (include your choice, imho)
(Poll coming)
I just beat the game on my computer and i have to say level 8-1 was ridiculously tough without a wing. took me like 30 minutes to beat with all those jumps and then that random ghost in the way drove me nuts.
I know there might be some I'm missing, but feel free to include some that I missed, tbh, imho, well I hope you and the Madden Krew are tight, i encourage all Laker fans to do the same, Jim Dunan, omnipotent blackjack, etc.

tbh the 2nd castle in world 7 is tough. Both World 8 levels are brutal w/o a p-wing. The second one pisses me off when the sun is after you and your stuck jumping on the music boxes.
Big fish levels suck. World 8 ain't that bad.
I wanna change my vote: 1-1 looks pretty tough the way these heads keep dying on it
the one with the big fish jumping is deceptively hard, you always think you can just run through it but it never fails, the ing fish always eat you a few times at least.
however if i recall correctly some of the ice levels (level 6 i think) are pretty hard as well since you are sliding around.... and that one Sky level which scrolls up rather than sideways is always tough
ya world 6 is where the game really starts to get tough imo
Tbh this is a super nintendo game and not N64, but does anyone still play the original mario world? One of the people I live with bought a super nintendo and that game off a craigslist add........I've forgotten how in fun it is and how addictive it is.
I had to vote for 8-2 because that durn sun has given me nightmares for decades; I give 7-8 honorable mention because you have to stick a number of super tough landings in between gillions of piranha plants in a space the mere width of a Mario sprite.
^Loved Mario Bros 4, but Miyamoto never matched the challenge factor of Mario 3. then again that's like asking Michelangelo to repeat the success of the Sistine Chapel. I agree it was super addictive though, the World Map and all the secret levels really took Mario to another level and was a nice stepping stone to the exploration-based 3d mario's.
I stuck with my original answer in the NBA thread upstairs. the fast battleship in world 8 is so frustrating without a p-wing
Really underrated game.![]()
smb3 is the best mario. i've beaten it like 30 times. these days i always play with no menu powerups, using no goodie houses, and beating every single level.
i'm gonna vote for 7-4, because water.
I always have to warp to 8-1. I've yet to beat World 7 and it's been 18 years.
You have a spelling test on monday
how about stage 6-2 in Ninja Gaiden?
that level

i forgot to make the drunk mono troll![]()
forgot about that one haha. yeah i always used a p-wing for it
Fail poll. This should have been about the coolest suit in SM3.
That way, we could make fun of anyone that didn't pick the Hammer Bros suit.
