The Heat have shopped Mike Miller in their search for an upgrade at either point guard or center, according to multiple sources.
Miller is in the first year of a five-year, $29 million contract.
One executive said the Heat have been calling around but just "don’t have much they can trade."
Miami is ultimately more likely to sign a player who is bought out than to complete a significant trade.

Miami will jump on any players that get bought out, they'll probably get 1, and that's all they will need..

Mike Miller could have been a Laker, probably starting at SF. Instead he can't beat out James Jones, and is now expendable. The Hype is too staaaccckkkeeeedd for Mike to get playing time.
Depends what the players getting bought out are looking for. Frontcourt players looking for minutes or significant roles will now be considering the Knicks as well.
For example, I could have seen Troy Murphy going to Miami, but if I were him I would now look at NY first.

By "Dwight Howard or somebody" he meant anyone that will produce more than Mike Miller currently is.
Yeah, that follow-up "or somebody" certainly leaves enormously subjective wiggle room.
