I don't think Portland would beat LA in a series, they would probably only win 1 game, but I don't agree with this..
Batum and Fernandez combined to go 10-26 from the field..
If you're playing that game, Artest went for 24 points, which is by far the best game he has had all year, which probably won't happen again..
Lakers doubled and closed out on Aldridge, which changed the game..Portland is very limited outside of Aldridge, he has carried their team as much as any other star in the NBA this season(other than Howard and maybe Dirk)..Spurs didn't adjust when they played, they let Aldridge beat them..
If teams double and close out hard on Aldridge, Portland isn't that good..they should definitely make the move for Wallace..
I dont disagree ... but they were on the road on a backto back genius, portland was rested and waiting and on 6 game win streak, and still lost. That is the main thing I take out of this. Portland still cant beat us when it matters to them more ...they definitely wont beat us in May ...

And you still lose? Again this means little for the Lakers id be more impressed if they win in OKC ...but for the Blazers? This game should of been a win. They had a 8 point lead late in this game. If they cant win with ALL of those advantages plus Kobe starting 2 of 9 .... they cant beat the Lakers in may.

I agree ron's points were a gift but we have gotten that gift from some player at least 1 game on the road per playoff series EXCEPT vs. Boston in 2008.
Artest, Ariza, Fisher, Brown, Farmar, Sasha have all gave us a game similar to Artest's tonight in the playoffs.
Look im not saying we can beat SA or Dallas im just saying we wont lose to Portland ...period. We own they ass in the playoffs and I dont see this version beating us. Will they win one eventually? Sure, they will Suns finally beat the Spurs last season. But not this Blazers team even if they get Wallace.

I loved the Portland announcers when it went South. It was like somebody died, or, lost money.
