    Bull .

If those graphs were the truth, then why do our political leaders stress the message of Obama's desire to redistribute wealth when it appears that said wealth has been redistributed for decades? Find a better tactic than fancy, easy to read graphs.

For the sake of argument, I will say this, IF there is a drastic inquality in the concentration of wealth, it's because the rich are motivated to get better educations AND they work harder. Want to make money? Go to school for a good degree to get a good job. Not making enough money at your job? Become self-employed. Look at the blueprint for wealthy people and follow it, it's available to everyone so quit being lazy.

    Sarcasm? Funny because it's true.

Who said the educations were gained at "liberal university" ins utions (although, surely, some were)? And, not all "liberal university edducations" are equal or even the same as they were years ago, when many of the current wealthy went to school. Besides, there are plenty of wealthy that simply got there through hard work, entrepreneurial spirit, and smart decisions.

    Nice non sequitur, George.

Along with the decades of growing inequality of wealth has been a growing lack of social/financial mobility.

born poor, die poor, born wealthy, die wealthy.

Not quite as class-ful as England, but the UCA is moving in that direction.

Liberty University is one, it's racist (no interracial dating).

dubya's WH was tainted pervasively with Liberty grads.

What's your point? That liberal university educations led to this horrible wealth inequality?

I agreed with the general premise that hard work and education is what will help you succeed and you want to have an argument over whether or not my support of an education makes me a liberal?

    Have fun with that.

I'm sending one of my kids to Hillsdale College. (That's one conservative [acutally, libertarian] ins ution)

Almost as if it was designed to be so, say about a century ago?

You stated that 'some' of these educations were provided by a biased liberal university. So I assumed you mean't the rest were provided by non lineral schools..so I asked how many conserative universities are out there?

Smart idea, send your kid to an indoctrination mill

Actually, I didn't mean that all. Many of the wealthy didn't go to college at all and, I'm not sure how many of them, that did, will credit their "liberal education" for their success.

Further, just because an ins ution is liberal does not necessarily mean all the professors are so biased.

I'm good with a Hillsdale education.

Naturally Americans are preoccupied with the prevailing doctrine at an ins ution of "higher learning" rather than the performance of that ins ution in teaching individuals how to think, broadening their horizons, and strengthening their character. This is a natural outgrowth of the continued sorting of America on the basis of tastes. Unfortunately, Americans tend to be unimaginative in this regard so we end up with the "liberal" flavor and the "conservative" flavor. In the process of flavoring, the end product is destroyed, much like everything else (ie art, civic life, personal life, etc...)

Americans who form their iden y on the basis of their political taste take thoughts and evidence that contradicts their tastes personally, for it is seen as challenging their very existence. Hence the explosion in political media, books, and films with a strong ideological bent. All that is bad in society is due to the other side. All that has ever been good is due to your side.

Not that this facet of human nature is new. But I'd say the intensity for none too few is approaching an unhealthy high.

What makes many uncomfortable is being in the presence of individuals who are a member of the other team, or perhaps who haven't chosen a side altogether.
