They did a great job the whole second half. They were able to really lock down inside because OKC couldn't hit a jumper and wouldn't push the pace.
Pending on who the Thunder play in the first round, they are done in the semis.

this
Mavs played in the last game a lot of zone and "almost MVP" Westbrook had the whole 4th quarter no clue what to do and killed the offense.
Against Kidd, Terry, Barea...
Trading for an injured player probably wasn't the greatest idea.
Young talent doesn't win rings.
You need superstars and veteran talent. Two things the Lakers have in droves.
Great game!!!
Shame OKC lost though. At least it was some quality entertainment!
Blazers have a shot at getting the #4 seed now. We need to get our new lineup humming quickly.
Exactly... it's always been that way.
Right now they would play the nets in the 1st round which they are 3-1 against this season. Probably the Spurs in the 2nd round.
Whew no "lol laker threads"
Ron Artest
As do the Spurs and Mavs...don't kid yourself.
Scoreboard: Lakers...stings, don't it?
No, we can still make one. It just wouldn't have as much flair.
Like, "LOL lakers, only beating Thunder by 3 without Jeff Green while Spurs rolled them by 10. LOL." So there is still a way..... lol![]()
Schedule is tough for you guys down the stretch. I think 5 is definitely a possibility, but the nets have a much easier schedule and Okafor and Landry have joined the team, plus if they beat Portland in the final meeting at NOLA, it gives them the tiebreaker.
Wallace and Roy are nice backups to have.
0-2 vs. the Spurs and 7.5 games back (8 after tonight). Stings, doesn't it?![]()
We're tied with NOLA in the loss column and the Hornets have not been playing well lately. I think we pass them.
And that's why the Thunder are still a year or so away, even taking into consideration they were without Perkins.
The way you beat LA is attacking in transition and not letting their length take over in the half court. The Thunder were content to wait for the troops and not attack in transition late, which allowed LA to do what they do best - play in the half court.
But they also need better floor generalship, whether that means Westbrook continues to grow or a savvy playmaker has to be added. ... And Durant is too good to be that ineffective.
He's either going to get it with a little more time and experience or the talk's going to start about how he's just not that kind of player . . .
lmemulatedao!
True, but Okafor is back and the nets have won their first two games after the break pretty easily and Landry gives them a strong backup in the frontcourt. Plus, their schedule is much easier than Portland's in the 2nd half and if they beat Portland in NOLA in the final meeting, it gives them the tiebreaker. Okafor may be the most important player on that team.
The key will be CP3. If he can get back to form, then the nets will stay ahead of Portland and maybe pass OKC.
True or False:
The Lakers can go into San Antonio and take a game or two.![]()
This is ssooooooo hypocritical that it ain't even funny. If that were Durant, KG, D-Whistle, LeHype or anybody that wasn't accused of raping a white girl it would have been a flagrant.
5,000 G!![]()
