o, i am starting a news league with my friends THE FNBA season 12
and...i have THE SPURS !!!
so can you help me how to play the spurs...i mean which starting 5, which plays to use? etc...give me your advises...

Quick question for NBA 2k9 PS3 users: Are you able to save any Spurs offensive plays and use it during online matches?
I could assign defensive plays to any of the buttons, but not offensive plays.

i like to shoot with the stick but for some players its better to shoot with the red button (on 360 i speak only)

I agree with this to some extent. Sure you can pump fake with Duncan - but you can do that with every other player too. The thing about Duncan in video games is he's not fast nor does he have a shot. So essentially he's a player with some decent defense and able to post. I find players like KG and Amare are overall more comforting to play as. With their speed and explosiveness and ability to post up there's no reason to take slow power forwards, unless of course your a die hard spurs fun and still take Duncan for the sheer loyaltytim duncan sucks in video games (makers of the games are probly bias

Feed Timmy early. Usually I'll use the pump fake to the dropstep spin. Learn they're playbook because many of the plays are posts for the PF. If you are effective in the post with Timmy they'll either bring the double leaving an open three for mason SG or they'll get shredded one on one. Mason I think has the easiest release because he has a noticeable hitch at the top of his jumper indicating when to release.

Update the game.
Basically do what the Spurs do. Get Timmy started early in the game so that the defense will be forced to double him. It will make hitting 3's a lot easier with Mason, Finely, or even Parker. (Manu is still injured in the update)
And Timmy is rated a 98 or 99 in the latest update he is the best bigman in the game.
Set a High pick and roll with Timmy and Tony and pass to Timmy as he runs to basket for a easy 2. (Hold B or tap B for a fake screen/roll)
And Bonner sucks in the game because well there aren't any plays for him and for the most part he will stick to posting up on the inside and never come out to 3 point land. Use Thomas instead for the D or Gooden if you need more offense.
And basically watch the players as the spurs in the game likes to run plays and often you will see Mason or Finley come off a screen. And in the game Tony has the best midrange jumper for the Spurs followed by Mason then Finely.
And in 3's its Mason, Bonner, Finely. But again no plays for Bonner. And learn the different releases for the players (ie. Mason has a release just a slight bit after he reaches the peak of his jump)
If the Offense gets stagnant and you can't knock down shots/timmy is being double used Tony to drive to the basket and basically attempt to get to the foul line.
