White dude.
Pale face
That's funny, if you were born in many other places you'd be called a or by other fellow "Spaniards" and "Italians".

This doesn't make sense. Are you calling spaniards and italians racist?
or is terms used for mexicans, not europeans.
you're full ofThere are racists everywhere in the world, who cares what some people think. i've heard people call italians "not white" as well. spaniards and italians are part of what is considered caucasian, in fact, most of all european peoples descended from the iberian mountains after the last ice age, the genetic marker is there...... and if some of us look like " s" or " s" like you said, that's because spain conquered central and south america and the sailors mixed a lot. they used to call that "mestizo"
so perhaps some of these "mestizo" people who have mixed with european-native american blood might look like us, it was because of the conquistadors.
In mexico, for example, the LARGEST majority of mexicans are "mestizo", that is they are not 100% indigenous mexicans. they have mixed blood with europeans because of the colonial period.
ALSO, because many european actors who come to america, take on mexican roles. for instance, javier bardem, antonio banderas, and penelope cruz. these are SPANIARDS who come here to play mexican roles. this changes the perception of what is white because mexicans aren't white. however, spaniards and italians are white.
doesn't change the fact that me personally am from europe, of spaniard and italian ancestry and am therefore caucasian.
if someone wants to be a and say italians or spaniards are not white, thats fine for them. they can call me african american or asian, i know what the deal is anyway.![]()

There's no such thing as white. It's a completely invented category that has historically changed based on various political and xenophobic motivations. Even the Irish used to be considered not white.
Oh, and I'm Sicilian, Irish, Swedish, German, English. Not that it matters.
I'm fully aware of everything you just typed. I'm not exactly the type to get butthurt over slurs from ignorant people, nor have I ever received too many throughout my life since I look "white". Simply commenting on the ignorance.
Chill bro
it doesn't
yeah i think hispanics were considered white until the 1950s...
1/4 white of a mixture that's unbeknownest to me...1/4 Mexican...1/2 Thai...
Yup, there is ignorance in this country about this issue and you nailed it.
Some Americans don't consider Spaniards white because of the confusion caused by labeling all Spaniard (and Portuguese) speakers as "Hispanic", simply because they speak Spanish, which most racially uneducated Americans consider a race in itself. They don't know that Spanish is as european language as english or french.
but I guess there are racists everywhere, and unless you have blonde hair or something, they don't consider you caucasian. Too bad for them, because the genetic markers for caucasian are in all spaniards, and in fact, spaniards possess the oldest genetic markers for caucasians.
this is true.
irish are the celtic peoples right? was that because of the black hair?
funny how you can recall the colonial period and the mixing of the races to describe mestizos but make no mention of the vast history of the moors in both italy and spain. the moors (primarily the berbers) ruled spain for nearly 700 years and almost a century in italy.
my mom is from sicily and my dad is from mexico (his parents were from peru and colombia) and he was the lighter of the two.
anthropologically speaking, you are all over the place. the issue of where to classify mestizos is much more a grey area than you suggest it to be.
You are such an uppity .
Shut the up.
boomshakalaka
I'm sorry, I don't see color![]()
1/2 Italian, 1/4 German, 1/4 English
If you were a chick you would gorgeous.![]()
Because Spain is in Europe and Mexico is in the Americas. I was responding to comments about " s/ s" by Alvarez. Your comments about invasions of Europe have nothing to do with that subject.
Also, the Moors only invaded some parts of Southern Italy, such as the island of Siciliy, which was completely conquered. Some Italians don't even consider Sicilians "italian" or "white"
It's all racist, but the point being, for the sake of discussion, that europeans originated from the same areas, and this is what defines caucasoid.
