Guess it counts for something considering the guy is a massive NY homer. Forgot what he said back when Spurs lost in NY but it wasn't nice. He's picking the Spurs over Lakers in 7 and to win it all.

Wilbon was recently on the SVP show and was really on the Spurs bandwagon. That was before they played his beloved Bulls though. He seems to have changed his opinion. Basically Wilbon says that he's heard from "trusted veteran top players" that the Spurs aren't as good as when they were a defense first team.

Sounds like Wilbon is listening to more of Jon Barry's prattle.
Yeah, I just read that on Wilbon's chat as well.
Again the Spurs get to prove it and that is the only thing that matters.
Barry was never a top player. It was probably Kobe that told him that.
The Spurs have a target on them. The pressure is on them to back up this gaudy record in the playoffs.
I get the feeling Wilbon's "veterans" are trash talkers like Noah and old Spurs like Bogans/Thomas.
Dear Mr. Wilbon
Spurs 7th in league in defensive efficiency; but why let the facts run counter to people who don't know a damm? (with effective FG% and TS% same as number 1 Boston)
