Splitter was starting to look good before he got hurt..this wasn't the way to rebound in his first game back..I'm a fan of his, but he played some atrocious basketball tonight..

This guy doesn't shy away from physical play on D, he sacrifices his body for charges..however, when it comes to rebounding, he seems to fear for his life, he doesn't like any physicality on the boards..that's a habit that the Spurs will really need to help him with during the off-season..

I guess it's a testament to how ty the team played that Splitter could be so awful coming off a month layoff and fill up the box score like he did.

Watching Splitter attempt to play basketball is about as painful as having to watch my mother screw the pool guy. Too bad I have to watch Splitter attempt to play basketball....

Come on, he was playing well before the injury. I'll give him a pass for this first game back.

yeah first game back, his offense game needs a lot of work, and needs to get tougher in the low post

I was never expecting big things from him this year, the spurs are going to work with him this offseason, with shooting. If he doesn't show something next season, then I will worry.

Same. I will probably give him at least 1 week to get his act together. Then I will start being more critical of him.

I say we gotta give Tiago some time, he hasn't played much. Let him get more playing time in.... IF Pop plays him.

There were plenty on this board that wanted to ride Blair out of town at the beginning of the season. Have some patience... yeah he's not playing great... give it some time though.

I didn't see the game yesterday, but here's a clip from his DraftExpress profile (http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/...Splitter-25/):

Tiago Splitter (the longest player profile in DraftExpress history, at over 16,000 words and counting) continues to improve his game year by year, clearly emerging as one of the best players in European basketball this season, and maybe the top center around. His production is pretty astounding, ranking 3rd and 4th in PER in the Euroleague and ACB respectively, 8th in scoring in both categories, and amongst the league leaders in blocks, steals, free throw attempts and shooting percentage.

...so even though I didn't see this game, and he probably did get pushed around a bit, I'd hold off on trashing the guy just yet. He may take a bit to get used to the NBA physicality. Or he may just need some more burn and time in the gym, like everyone has been saying. He certainly has the pro track record and skills.

According to you Splitter was the best center in Europe. Which is completely laughable and ridiculous. It's the equivalent of claiming that Varejao is the best center in the NBA.
He was, you can see how much the players in Euroleague sucks

How many times does it have to be explained that draftexpress.com is full of it? They claim that Rubio was the Next Maravich and then the next Nash. Rubio is one of the 2-3 worst rotation point guards in the Euroleague.

    That site is complete bollocks.
Except when they say something you agree with, then you quote from extensively.

He was never even remotely close to being the best center in Europe. Anyone that says that knows absolutely zero about basketball. Tiago Splitter in Euroleague was = to Jeff Fisher in the NBA.

He was Jeff Fisher in Euroleague.

For anyone to claim he was the best center in Europe is so laughable that it is just ridiculous.

So yes Splitter was the best center in Europe. Also true is that Jeff Fisher is the best big man in the NBA.
