    It's Bruce's number and no Spurs should wear it ever again. Why isn't it retired already? Do they have to wait a specific amount of time to do so?

    As much as I love and respect Bruce I dont have a problem with his number being used. You can retire his number right after you retire Mike Mitc 's number.

    That's actually a solid beef, but IMO having your # retired is as much about a player's place in the fan-base's heart as much as it is contribution through play.

    People still talk about the hole left in Bruce's absence in a way I don't recall anyone ever talking about Mitc (which obviously owes to drafting Sean, but you get my point).
