    Spurs are made 16/46
    LA is 28/50

    It's two things.
LA is getting and hitting anything.
Spurs are getting ran off the 3 pt line.

Spurs are doing everything that I worry about them against the Lakers.

    1. RJ is back to being a ghost.
    2. Tim is playing like he's old.
    3. Defense is terrible.
    4. Offense is being stopped.
    5. Being out rebounded.
Gasol, Bynum & Odom, what can we do? Gobbling up offensive rebounds on one end, blocking shots and swarming D on the other. As PJ says, "the unsolvable problem."

Jon Barry must be all giddy inside.
There were reports that Barry was masturbating to the 1st half highlights....

Tiago did a good job on Bynum in the previous game. I don't know why Pop didn't even look his way. Dice is terrible right now.

I thought that was exactly our status heading into today's game. We probably did need this wakeup call. The energy just isn't there as it was when we beat the lakers earlier this season. We need to show some fight in the second half or 3rd quarter. Pop will be sitting the starters in the 4th
Fair call. What I meant was in the playoffs teams reach another level once they win a series or two - we've all seen it during our trophy runs.

I'm still confident our team hasn't peaked yet. Pop tries to have them peaking around the semis/WCF so they can ride the wave through the Finals, and if we do that again this year we won't look like this.

Guys, of course LA isn't this good & SA isn't this bad. But that isn't the point. It is foolish to base everything off of one game. My comments are based on everything from the entire year and past two as well.

All you need to look at is the things each team does well and what is more sustainable in the playoffs. Length, rebounding, defense & post play are more reliable. Spurs have a chance, but no margin for error.

All you opposing contender team fans need to be pissed at the Spurs.

Not only have the Spurs embarrassed themselves but they may have just given the Lakers all the confidence in the world now to threepeat.
Wow. It's still just one game.

Yeah and then the Lakers will go out and solve
The Lakers haven't had many big wins against the best teams in the NBA record wise so this should give them a big boost. This is what the Lakers were looking for.

worst half of basketball all year by the Spurs, including that great Hornets comeback early in the year. I've been a "glass half full" fan when it comes to Tim so far this year. Thinking that when the playoffs come along he will up his game and go back to averaging 18/10 or better... However as his play has continued to be inconsistent/mediocre my faith is failing. In 2 1/2 games against the lakers he has a total of 12 points and 15 rebounds... If Tim can't regain his championship form we have no chance at that 5th championship.

It's funny how we forget that length in the interior lets your perimeter players fly out to contest shooters.

Interior D> Spread out floor offensively. Always has and always will be.

Over the past years (Championship years as well) I always thought the Spurs would get a little too high/ y on some wins, only to get completely spanked the next game, which I thought was good for them. I'm sure every player/team can get a big head after a win like the Spurs had on Friday, yes, even the most humble of players. Sometimes a good ass-kicking like this is good for a team like the Spurs, just to remind them that hey, you have to bring your ing A-game to beat the 2-time defending NBA champions...

RJ is my biggest concern tonight. He needs to put some fire into his game. He's coasting like the RJ I despised last year.

I remember when he lost the awful white man intonation in favor of his current brand of re slang. But, really, what analyst is even borderline tolerable?

LOL tears in the lockerroom for the Heat after the Bulls game? At least IF Spurs lose... yall are not a bunch of pussies like the Hype ...
No way we're going to cry. I'd lose respect if my team did that in a regular season game. You could maybe do that in a tough playoff series, but crying the in regular season means you've probably got some problems.

Can I get an honest opinion on the game today? What do you think about it and the Spurs performance?

I don't think anyone's forgotten that, but we simply don't have the players, and haven't had the assets or pulling-power to get the players, to run that system any more. We don't have a Bynum-type, nor a Bowen-type, so what are we meant to do? Pop had to change up the style of the team to suit the players he has.

+1. It's like he tries to hard to prove he's a black guy with his cool "slang" talk....
