Lebron just missing shots he's supposed to miss. No surprises here.
I love how Lebron holds the pose like the shot is going in...never fails to make me![]()

This year has been LeBron's worst 'clutch' season since 2006... yet he is still shooting .439% in clutch situations. To be fair by LeBron's standards he has been poor... because shooting 44% in clutch situations is not really 'clutch'.. but its funny how the media and haters make him out to be Patrick Ewing just because he has missed a few 3's in the last seconds of close games.
But prior to this season, LeBron has been out of this world clutch... not just in scoring but in rebounding and passing. In 08-09 he shot .556% in clutch situations while putting up something like 56-14-12 per 48 minutes.
Seriously, without turning this into a Kobe bashing thread (which someone will likely do anyway)... this 'LeBron is not clutch' creation over the last couple of weeks is actually more innacurate then the 'Kobe is clutch' creation the media has fabricated over the last 10 years.
Its pretty amazing what fans will fall for tbh.

The "LeBron is not clutch" creation has been going on a lot longer than the last couple of weeks. It's followed him around ever since early in his career. Fair or not (and it's not, IMO) it won't go away until he wins a le.
Nice job Hollinger even Lebron knows he has failed ... check out his tweeter feeds. Problem is stats alone nor media alone should not be how you judge sports.

Once again, my thread le speaks for itself. Wade needs to sac up and knock that got down a couple pegs
D-Wade made the bed, now he's got to lie in it.
True, but he's gotta know when to kick the outta bed and send her packing with some taxi $$
Mystar, I can put together a series of statistics that shows Lakers center Andrew Bynum as being the best defensive center in the league. Better than all of the rest, bar none. Does that mean he is? Or that the stats don't accurately account for everything? I'm serious by the way. Since we are simply discussing what fans will believe instead of looking at the arbitrary stats, it's relevant.
crofl that was gold
Nice job reading there Nostradamus.Have another go.. this time i made it easier for you.
Of course. There will always be the anti-LeBron side preaching the negative ... and that includes the higher profile media.. they all have their own agenda. This has been the case since LeBron entered the league... the same way there is with the anti-Kobe sections of the media who continually publish stuff in an attempt to degrade Kobe's accomplishments.
Eventually the fans will begin to treat it as if its true since its continually beinng written about.. since those who cant make up their own opinion will always lean towards whats fed to them.
Ok, your point?
My point was I dont care about his stats this year or the last 5 ...
You put in all those links to prove what?
That Lebron's clutch stats were really good. Game winners aginst the Bucks in 2007 is supposed to prove that?
To know Lebron can be clutch all i need to see is the 2007 (IIRC)ECF vs the Pistons ...
Doesnt change Last year vs. the Celts or the year before aginst the Magic or the ty performances this year. YOu are right Lebron is better than this in the clutch ...but im getting tired of waiting for it. ANd I actually like Lebron.
But he has to figure things out ...
Fix meant Magic the year before ...

LeBron didn't go against the Celtics in 09. He played against the Magic and put on a performance that has yet to be matched.
LeBron did struggle against the Celtics in 08, with that 2-18 performance. But then again, he had 40+ in game 7 and didn't hit only a fourth of his shots.
lol mystar completely ignoring the fact that Mike D ed all over his post
That LeBron is a very clutch basketball player.
It doesnt surprise me you dont like or care for stats really.
it is a shame what you are doing in this thread. he was CLEARLY fouled in the NY game and the chicago game. that is why he was not clutch. i trust lebron and will be validated one of these days.
This sounds like typical "stats are irrelevant because Kobe has ty advanced statsso watch me show an example where stats are false" Lakerfan schtick.
I appreciate the support, Nick.
Mystargtr34- Since you try to dismiss it without legitimate reason, I think reaming your nose into it serves a purpose, it's about showing the fundamental flaw of your argument-- stats are not always indicative of what our eyes tell us is true. You'd think that as a Spurs fan this would be ingrained into you, as the Spurs have had players who have sacrificed boosted stats for a greater goal. Alas, according to what you have justified as the end all, we can also justify Andrew Bynum as the best defensive center in the NBA. Enjoy the cake made from your ingredients.

Wade needs to take lessons from The Situation...throw them grenades out son.
Really this team will go as far as Wade takes them. Basically similar to the Garnett/Pierce situation. Garnett was brought to Boston to make them into a le contender, yet it was Pierce who hit the big shots. Same thing in Miami. Lebron was brought in to bring the Heat to le contention, but Wade is gonna be the guy who has to get the Finals MVP. Lebron's game just isn't good enough to score in the 4th quarter. Down the stretch, they need to go to Wade. He's proven to be a closer while Lebron hasn't and probably never will since his arsenal is limited to driving to the basket.
Why because I realize that they can be manipulated? Even at the Dorkapalooza MIT advanced stats conference they admitted that is you look hard enough at stats you can always find what you seek.
I am not saying Lebron is not clutch ... but I dont care if the stats say otherwise I would not put him up there with the great clutch shot makers in the NBA (including Kobe) but not exclusive to him either. I would rather have Manu, Ray and Wade as well. If you say .. do i want someone to drive and dish then I would take Lebron. I agree clutch doesnt always have to be the shot but the guys we considered the "kings" of clutch typically make those shots. even magic who was PG made some huge ones.
The reason i have issues with clutch stats (some) they equate a pass, or a meaning less shot vs. Golden state in the regular season the same as a game winner on the road in the playoffs. And a clutch pass really should be credited more to the coach (for designing the play) and the shooter for making the shot. I would expect the best ball/handler or playmaker on any NBA team to be able to make a pass late in the game ...but that is just me.
LMAO, the only one genuine here seems Bosh.
He looks like "yaaayy, I get to play with Bron and Wade". While LeBron looks more like "gulp was this the right decision?" and Wade "kill me now".
Its not that. Lebron won't let Wade be the guy. Isn't it strange how no matter where Lebron is, no matter who his teammates are, everyone ends up turning into a "witness" who stands behind the arc and watches him beat the out of the ball for 24 seconds? And then everyone wonders why the rest of the team didn't do more.
Wade is slowly but surely being turned into Mo Williams. And when/if they get dropped in the playoffs all we'll hear about is how Lebron's teammates let him down again, and he needs more help.
