Good to see that Muslims have a monopoly on hate speech, DarrinS.

You would be rather shocked at the number of ancillary civilian deaths from the actions of US forces both in Iraq and Afghanistan. You want to compare causality lists? Because its not even close when you compare how many Muslims America has killed.
It is *far* more than the number of people killed on 9-11.
Al Qaeda and its ilk have done their part as well in bloodthirsty indescriminant bombing, as well to be sure, but we have far more blood on our hands than you will ever see on Fox "news".
Sorry, that is reality, however uncomfortable.
That particular report didn't differentiate between causes of death in Iraq.
It is hard to ferret out just how many deaths that can be blamed implicitly on the US, since those figures likely include many deaths from Al Qaeda bombings, sectarian hit squads and so forth.
It does, however, puts the statment "they are better off now than they used to be" firmly into the "debateable" category.
As bad as Saddam's goons were, and as sadistic as his sons were, even Saddam's bloody reign would have a hard time reaching the levels of sheer carnage that the post-invasion occupation entailed.
Collateral damage: damage that is unintended or incidental to the intended outcome.
Sorry, that reality doesn't make me uncomfortable.
Pure fiction.
That may be the single most shameful thing I have seen you say.
It should make you uncomfortable, even if it was unintended.
"Ooops" is still ty to an 11 year old with no arms or legs, Darrin.
Do you think that Saddam, even at the height of his power and repression was killing thousands of his own people every month?
Ultimately, our decision to invade was the cause, if somewhat indirect of ALL the violent deaths, even those not directly caused by us. THat was what I meant.
We bear that moral culpability.
We could always go back to carpet bombing.
So you honestly believe more Americans have died at the hands of Muslims than the other way around?
Do you think collateral damage is equivalent to acts of terrorism?
I'm pretty sure the victims would see it that way.
As do terrorist recruiters. But let's not worry about that because we are morally absolved when it's "war."
Really? That's what you are going with?
"It isn't as bad as it could be or used to be, so I'm comfortable with it." ???
That is a lame attempt to rationalize the immoral.
I fully understand and accept that such things are going to happen in a war zone, but there is a vast gulf between being "comfortable" with such things and not.
There is no doubt in my mind that you would endlessly lecture anybody you perceived as supporting "bad liberal policies" even if those policies had good intentions, and that strikes me as being deeply hypocritical.
I know you have some need to "stick it" to liberals, but this... is repulsive.
That you would allow your ego to trump your sense of ethics or morals, says a lot. Maybe you said/typed it without really thinking about it, but the attempt to rationalize it means you bought into it even so.
That is a very good point.
"Those deaths don't matter, because we are fully justified in our actions" is EXACTLY what the wagons with the bombs strapped to their chests think, when they wander into a crowded area, or dive bomb an office building with a passenger jet.
If you become "comfortable" with those deaths, you take on the moral character of the people we are presumedly fighting.
The ends don't always justify the means.
I am comfortable that our guys don't purposely try to kill innocent people.
Wow. Just, ... wow.
Hey, they do things to piss us off. It is a flaw in my character. I like to do things that torque people like that.
Don't let dumb people make you do dumb things. It's not the dumb people's fault that you do.
What's so "Wow" about that?
You don't think those s do it for some higher calling or however rational or irrational justification?
Here's some crap by tea baggin Islamophobe losers
Tea Party Protests Muslim Women's Shelter Benefit
Who protests a fundraiser for women's shelters and combating homelessness? If the event is put on by a Muslim organization, then of course it must be loyal American "Patriots" like the local Tea Party organization and North Orange County Conservative Coalition.
"Let me tell you what is going on over there right now. Make no bones about it -- That ls pure, unadulterated evil," said a city councilwoman at the protest.
Protesting outside a benefit? Yelling at a families full of children as they walk down the sidewalk? Telling Muslim residents of California, "Stupid terrorist, go home! Go home! Go home!" while yelling they must beat their wives and be child molesters?
====
These tea baggers assholes are exactly the same type of people who lynched blacks. Give these tea baggers some rope.
I only do it when it puts someone in a frenzy. Think about what shredding then burning the Koran would do. How many death threats would I have if I did it? What would the price be on my head?
Sorry, but it's fun to watch out of control asses at times.
Wouldn't that depend on how "collateral damage" came about?
It would validate the idea that you're dumb doing dumb things. Would it be any different that burning the Bible or the US Cons ution for that matter?
There's dumb extreme people of all kinds out there. Being more or less radicalized it's still radical... and dumb.
I think it's pretty sad actually. It shows both immaturity and an inability to get your point across in a respectful manner.
