    I've done my share of brewing. Easiest way is to use extracts, but they aren't as satisfying to make. The key issue is cleanliness as you brew. I don't brew any more because there are great micro brews that save me the time. The only think I will brew now is mead.

    Honestly don't remember what kind it was now. It was a several years ago.
    I tried another batch after that and didn't let it sit as long and it turned out pretty bad.

    The carbonation wasn't as good as the prior batch either.

    The carbonation wasn't as good as the prior batch either.
    It should only wake a few weeks at most to brew a beer. If it tasted bad, it was probably contaminated. Everything needs to be started as sterilized, and caution not to expose it to anything as it cools, and to always keep it sealed. Always use an airlock.
