That loss in defense is not being noticed much? I guess Nash has lowered Suns fan's expectations in point guard defense.
Brooks hasn't been a liability on defense yet, mainly because we have a pretty good defensive bench to back him up; meanwhile Dragic had been a liability on both ends before he was traded. I guess the trade woke him up.

As for Nash, he's playing the best defense of his career, and that's no lie.

I'm surprised how much Landry has improved his game. I remember when he first was drafted he was basically a spot up shooter and made dunks and layups. Now he's shooting with both hands, driving to the basket, pulling up on jumpers. Definitely expanded his arsenal. I think the Hornets will resign him and let West walk to the highest bidder.

If West signs elsewhere he should hook up with Deron in NJ.

The Nets will probably overpay for West. I think he and the Hornets will mutually part ways.

Landry is coming back to Houston, imo

But seriously though, his game has definitely improved, though he definitely doesn't have as much hop as he did when he was a rookie (knee injury). His mid-range game has developed nicely, and though he is undersized, Landry fights for every lose ball and rebound.

He said recently he wasn't happy there and doesn't think playing for Adelman is a viable option.

Really? I heard the exact opposite a couple of weeks ago. His buddy Brooks did get traded, so maybe he doesn't like Houston anymore.

    I'm just messin.

I do think he could be the Hornets starting PF if West decides to leave.

    Besides, isn't Scola signed long-term?

Why is anything about the #2 seed Rockets being discussed?

I see. Scola signed long-term and Patterson is the next PF project. He'll be better than Landry, tbh.

#2 Houston is 5-1 after the All-Star Break, fwiw.

Rockets have a glut at Power Forward. Patterson is good and is very talented. Hayes is a short Power Forward but he's like a rock under the hoop defensively. Scola is due for a big payday. Question is...does Morey keep Scola?

Didn't Scola get a new deal already?

He did @ 9 mil. Scola is still a trade piece. Morey has already stated he wanted Landry back.

I think the Hornets want Landry back too and may be able to guarantee him a starting job especially if West leaves as expected after the season. I would rather pay Landry less to start instead of giving a 31-year old West 10 million+ a season.

wtf First you say Scola is due for a big payday then you say he already got it? And Morey has not mentioned anything about wanting Landry back. Get your facts straight Bro, don't spread misinformation.

I don't think Landry is well suited to be a starting PF though. He can do it, but I don't think it's his best spot. I still think he's better coming off the bench as a sixth man. He is a little undersized.

He probably is better suited off the bench, but the Hornets will need him as a starter and I think he will do ok, especially being younger and cheaper than West. It will allow the Hornets to go after a quality wing scorer since they're already set with Okafor and Ariza defensively. Maybe they can snag one of the Nuggets wings. Need to find a PG to replace CP3 as well.

Ok well maybe not directly but the "Rockets" have expressed interest in bringing back Landry. Dude brought a toughness to the Rockets that hasn't been seen since. Just wish he wouldn't keep using his face to block elbows.

Why would we want Landry back unless he wants to sigh another 3-4m deal with us.

Patterson has higher ceilings; besides he still got Jordan Hill on the bench.
