Yeah I'd say that's definitely deserving as a red card as well. One thing I can't stand about football is that there's no other sport in a where a referee can directly intervene and ruin a game.
It’s ing hilarious, Barca haters bleeding from behind as usual… It’s so funny.

Lets see, so the refs helped Barcelona?

First game, Messi LEGAL goal called offside, 1 CLEAR penalty not called to Pedro, and RED CARD, 2 CLEAR penalty not called on a CLEAR hand ball.
Second game, CLEAR penalty not called to Messi, yellow card shown to VP when it should have been a CLEAR RED card for punching Alves face. RED CARD not shown on the penalty to Pedro.

Also, even thou I agree the ref exaggerated on that red card to VP… it is absolutely LEGAL.

Arsenal fans should call out their coach and players instead of using bull excuses. The supposed “England Barca” had cero opportunities to score…….. yes, CERO, nada, they didn’t even scored their lone goal…. But it’s the ref’s fault.

lol Barca homer maggots coming from the woodwork.

I've criticized Arsenal plenty in this thread and did not expect them to win at Nou Camp, that was evident. They didn't play a game to win anyways, that's basically why I had no comment after the game on their performance. Pretty sure you find me posting in this thread about the offside call during the live game, so stop painfully trying to justify everything Barca - there's really no need to.

To be fair: as soon as they shot at the goal the ref would send them off ..

This loss is mostly on Wenger, but no way should they replace him. One loss against a more talented team does not negate 10 years of good work. You can't win them all (unless you're Barca ).

To be fair, I don't think the red card was going to affect the match much as long as Arsenal kept trying. Not with the scheme Wenger was using.

Had Arsenal not completely ing quit, Barca would have had a hard time scoring the 2 goals necesary to go through directly IMO. 1 goal maybe, 2 would have been difficult.

The fact of the matter is, Arsenal scored 0 goals in this match, and when they should have been playing their hearts out to win a realistically winnable match, they threw the football equivalent of a tantrum. Had Arsenal kept playing, they would be the toast of the town right now, whether they won or lost, and maybe, just maybe it would have given a possible complaint about that red card more validity.

Ref ups happen! You're supposed to play through them for sake. I was thoroughly dissapointed by this game and I'm a Barca fan.

After watching the 2nd half replay I couldn't believe Arsenal just turtle s ed like that. Barca was without their two best defenders and Arsenal was still scared to attack. I hate when anyone in any compe ion plays not to lose like that, it's such a thing to do.

Any Arsenal fan that blames the loss in its entirety to the red card is whiny little that doesn't want to face the fact his/her team gave up mid second half.

    Barca
    67% Possession
    19 Shots at goal
    5 Corners
    6 Fouls

    Arsenal
    33% Possession
    0 Shots at Goal
    2 Corners
    16 Fouls

and Arsenal lost because Van Persie who did all game got ejected? Get the out with that !

Meh, Arsenal had the lowest odds of all the 16 teams after drawing Barca. It's not like Arsenal constantly cries about Chelsea advancing over the years.

Just a jab to their gut as they're big rivals in North London and they have the whole "St Totteringham's Day" thing. I guess now Tottenham can have the "St. Arse's Day" as the day when Arsenal can no longer go farther than them in CL.

As if Tottenham would have advanced against Barca.
    Good job against Milan, though.

ing terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible. Holy . Milan have absolutely no iden y right now. If Gattuso hadn't been red carded, he would have played instead of Seedorf, which would have been equally as awful.

Enough of Ambrosini, Gattuso, Seedorf, and freaking Jankulovski. Bring in some fresh legs (Boateng type players), and move the freaking ball.

Cassano and Van Bommel were great signings, but they were cup tied for God sakes.

I still can't believe this team is leading Serie A.

    LLOLOLOLOLOL Milan.
