Damn, EricB have you gone full apologist? You don't even make much sense anymore. People can sometimes be wrong, and yes even Pop. I know pretty scary stuff huh.
And yes I can be wrong too, before you say something smart mouthed about that.
Then whats with the upheaval over him not playing minutes tonight?

Well he looked like crap in his 20 seconds of playing time. I don't know why anyone thinks Pop would play him more. Well, aside from the fact that he said he would today. Um...four rings, got?
He really hasnt done anything to deserve minutes over our other bigs... I just wish he had and want to see him play.. I am still looking forward to him being a contributor.
TPark is in crisis. Pop saying he's going to play Splitter more and then not playing Splitter makes him wrong no matter what. If TPark were a robot his head would explode.
I think we can debate if Pop was right or not about playing Tiago few minutes at the beginning of the season but knowing Pop we all know Tiago will get a bunch of DNP-CDs in the Playoffs.
He didn't play the whole season and he won't start playing now with 20 games left
duncan will start playing less soon
People can be wrong all the time.
I've disagreed with Pop millions of times this year and still disagree with him on the Splitter situation. BUT, its not gonna happen Bonner and Blair have earned their minutes.
I again don't see who he should play ahead of someone. Again, if someone was egregiously playing bad ala Finley last year or Bogans and better players were playing behind them, I would be in full agreement and be the first in line ing.
Yeah im just dying over here.
He bull ted the media, ? He's been doing that for years, again, whats the beef now?
There's simply not an emoticon sufficient to signify how much I laugh at you over that sentence.
Ok fine.
You guys can have the forum, Im tired of this baseless arguing over things I can't control.
You guys can be s to each other.
Full emo mode...
Later then.
Benching the best rebounder is a horrible idea. Not coincidentally, the Pistons dominated the offensive glass.
Well on the postgame show Pop mentioned that he and the coaching staff got together to discuss what direction the Spurs should go in with the rotation from now on and into the Playoffs. I wonder if that means he's going to stick with Dice in the starting lineup from now on?
I personally think its a given that Dice should start come playoff time and have no problem with pop making the switch now. One thing that I thought was good about Blair starting was that we havn't seen a lot of the Bonner/Blair combo which I absolutely can't stand because Blair was starting and Bonner and Dice would come in off the bench together. I definitely don't want Blair and Bonner getting more minutes together at the same time out there since Dice will be starting. Pop needs to find a way to keep Duncan and/or Dice on the court at all times come playoff time.
+1. The Blair-Bonner combo would spell disaster. Hopefully Pop can find a way to avoid that at all costs, we would get murdered on the glass even more than we already do....

Pop says Antonio McDyess' first start wasn't ceremonial. Could be permanent as the playoffs approach. #spurs
that was fast. one thread and boom
well its not like splitter can get any less minutespop is a fool for not using this kid, he loves big games (playoffs) and will do anything to win. too bad well have bonner out there with his tail between his legs if were down and he knows the ball is coming to him in the playoffs
dice should be nice and rested lets turn the vet loose

...What prompted this latest lineup switch?
...What do the Spurs hope to gain with McDyess?
...Does this mean Spurs coaches are down on Blair?
...The Spurs have occasionally had rebounding troubles this year. Detroit just beat them 20-5 on the offensive glass. Won’t removing Blair from the starting lineup compound those woes?
...Didn’t this move seem to come out of the blue?

..."I’ve got to say it’s not easy for a guy like him, starting for 63 games, being the center of the leader in the NBA,” said guard Manu Ginobili, well acquainted with coach Gregg Popovich’s tactical maneuvers. “He’s young. He’s got to adjust, but he’s a great kid. He wants to win. He’s going to do good.”
Gone? He came out of the womb that way.
