bellinelli launches a long, absolutely senseless, off balance 3 early in the shot clock that somehow falls home, then Dirk has an extremely unusual and rare turnover, then Okafor gets a bailout and-1 at the end of the shot clock, then Chandler has two FTs rim out, then they call a total bull foul on Kidd that gave Jack 3 FTs (stupidest foul ever, where a guy has his hand in your vicinity, then they wrap their arm around yours, act like its a shot when you damn well know they had no intent to shoot)

not to mention the fact that West should have been tossed from the game for shoving dirk in the back as he was falling out of bounds. instead they just call a T on him for some small push he gave Cardinal in the back when tempers flared.



weird . reminiscient of the Mavs long streak of never being able to win on the Lakers home floor, strange would always happen even when it seemed like the Mavs all but had the victory sealed.

Belinelli fined for hard foul on Marion

The NBA has fined Hornets guard Marco Belinelli $10,000 for his flagrant foul on Shawn Marion during New Orleans’ 93-92 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night.

NBA executive vice president Stu Jackson, who announced the fine on Thursday, says the foul, initially ruled a flagrant foul, penalty one, has been upgraded by the league to a penalty two.

The foul caused Marion to lose his balance while attempting a fast-break layup. He crashed into photographers on the baseline, hurting his right ribs. Marion stayed on the court for a few possessions after the play, which occurred in the third quarter, then left the game for good.

Marion said afterward that X-rays were negative and that he’ll be fine.

A team that plays unconventional lineups, plays gimmick defenses and has no 2nd scoring option is not a contender

I have said this all year. I like Cubes as an owner, but what he did to Dirk was down right nasty. Not only did he take advantage of Dirk's loyal nature by asking him to take less money to subsidize all the contracts he gives out, he tightened up his belt at the wrong time and did not make a move even though he knew deep down that this team lacked enough talent to win it all.

Slap to Dirk's face.

He won't do that. I have zero confidence in Carlisle's decision making.
