I did. Part of spreading God's word is trying to explain what/who God is.

I ask the same question though, if salvation is already obtained through simple belief, then is it really worth it to fly to Africa and shove a Bible in front of their faces and try to explain what/who God is?

I am forming a theorem based on your concept of God.

You state that God/truth/love are beyond our comprehension.

If that's true, then God doesn't really see us as much more than animals.

Of course, that would contradict the whole point of Jesus coming down and becoming human, so imo, if the Bible is the truth, then your statement of it being beyond our comprehension is false.

I am not sure it is wise for me to go into sub topics about something we never agreed what it really is to began with. I think the African boy scenario I used may have slightly thrown you off of what my original point was about.

I don't have a concept of god...I am a human being and god or love or budda or sufi or whatever people call this same thing cannot be put into a concept or a theory...I don't try to define what god is ...because no-one really knows...

I've just been really thinking about this lately. In the bible it says in Acts 17, God says that he has appointed a day which he will judge us in righteousness. Does the thought of standing before God and answering for what they've done scare anybody?

Well I meant that human beings' concept of god gets in the way...but you thought I was referring to you...i mean all of us...myself included.

What it means is that for the human thinking mind to be able to know god/love/truth whatever...the mind must be free of barriers...there are many barriers to seeing...some are ;
beliefs
conditioning
religion
desires
fears


etc...

if you (or anyone) believes that god wore a beard or floats in the sky or has human features or is a male or a female....etc....

then you already have a concept or an image or idea of who or what god is...

and by having that-you have placed a barrier to seeing...

because no-one knows what god/love/truth looks like...or acts like...or if it is a he or a she or if it is even a separate en y from the rest of life...

who knows in what shape or form it is or is not????
