LMAO ... son Kobe had what? 3 years to prove himself without SHAQ and he couldn't even get out of the first damn round while being on the LOS ANGELES LAKERS! Gasol was playing on the MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES!
Perhaps, but, Gasol couldn't win a single playoff game till Kobe took him in.

back to back and Kobe wasn't even the clear cut best player on the damn team either year lol

plain and simple ... Kobe Bryant is the best example of a media created super star. The NBA was desperate for another "Jordan" so they pushed Kobe to the top by inflating his scoring numbers with ridiculous calls and hyping him up far more than he deserves. Kobe is, has been, and always will be nothing more than a glorified Paul Pierce. Damn good player, but that's about it. NOTHING "Great"
agree 1000% with this fair and honest assessment of kirby bryant....good work son

yet Kobe has NEVER, not even ONCE in his career been able to do ANYTHING without another superstar carrying him every step of the way. Kobe has NEVER been the "main" guy on ANY of the Lakers championship teams. With Shaq, Kobe was nothing more than a role player. With Gasol, Kobe has been a co-leader at best and everyone knows it.

Pau went back to back tbh.

Dude came to LA and carried this team to winning.

    Give your MVP some cred.
You mean the MVP that just acknowledged Kobe as the best player on the planet?

BR's gotta a point there. How does a Cleveland born, Arizona residing raiser such as yourself become a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers?

BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, which I'm sure BR will respect, is that you came on board in '69 when the Lakers were a team who made choking look like an artform.

As you said, it wasn't until Magic sank that hook over McHale and Parish that you guys were able to stand on yer own two feet.

lol son ya gotta love all these true Laker "fans" ... I see them all the time around here. people who have absolutely NO connection to the team or city of L.A. or even no connections to the state of California, yet they are somehow still fans of a team that is located thousands of miles away from where they live. some people just want to be a front runner plain and simple. it makes them feel better about themselves.
