I think Tim's hubris pissed off the bball gods who sent down the 38-pt 2nd qtr on the Spurs.
It ain't ova til it's ova.
Nobody cares what happens to the villian. Just as long as he gets his in the end.

Hey...you're not a mod. In case you didn't realize that.
I thought he said 'get me a fresca"
you gotta admit, Duncan did this one with class. Probably the classiest bit of swagger the NBA has seen.
Really. Prove it.
He might have said Game Over but what he really meant was Game On Mr. Stern.
You notice they don't list the NBA Forum Mods or Spurs Forum Mods for obvious reasons. They list the other forums and "sight admin", meaning they have control over the site and tech problems.
Nice try.
Personally, I liked it. Last night's game showed that the Spurs have that next gear, even in a year as good as this one has been so far. Timmy's bit of bravado was with his teammates...it wasn't like he was jawing "game over" in Lebron's face. It was just that the cameras caught him saying it.
That's be cause in the 3rd sequence there's a pause:
Timmy: "Game O-(pause for effect) -VER!"
This is NOT hard to see.

I have to agree this is classy swagg at its finest, Lullz @ Heat Lol @ Mike Millers facial hair Lol @ NBA thinking Spurs aren't real. And yea its game over, thats why everybody's laughing like ha ha ha*(Shawty Lo Voice)

Tim should have done that re ed sideline dance LeBron was doing last year.
I think it was a rare slip from Duncan because it was the Heat. They're the most fun team to hate, maybe even more than Dallas. They just think they're god's gift to basketball and so ing special when they're barely an above average team so everyone delights in kicking their asses.
You might as well have the ESPN executives and Sportscenter guys in those uniforms and I think the Spurs would've enjoyed it even more.
Yep. O...........ver![]()
Does anyone know what play preceded this outrageous outburst?

Project Spurs
By now, every San Antonio Spurs fan has seen or heard about Tim Duncan’s infamous “Game over” stated late in the first quarter of last Friday’s Spurs-Miami Heat tilt.
A nationally-televised game from the folks at ESPN put more eyes on the court and more cameras in the arena. One of those cameras just so happened to catch one of the most unassuming and quiet stars the League has ever seen mouthing the words “Game over.” The Spurs were finishing a quarter in which they had outscore the Heat 24-4 over a six-minute stretch and find themselves with a twenty-four-point lead after twelve minutes of play. Seemed the Spurs’ star may have had a point, and the fact that it was Tim Duncan issuing the proclamation made it more than newsworthy.
What ESPN and the audience wasn’t aware of was the origin of the remark.
I think JVG also clarified Duncan's remark during the Spurs/Lakers game...
Yeah, he did. I had a source confirm JVG's clarification and give me a little more detail on the whole thing. The guys at Project went back to confirm what I was told by the team.
Jefferson had an appearance at a Home Depot recently and spoke pretty candidly about Duncan's "Game Over."
