    There are very few real Laker fans. Most are bandwagon fans who want to be associated with Hollywood and all the star power. It's cool to be a Laker fan, so I am a Laker fan! That's how many (most) of them became Laker fans.

    It's like Notre Dame fans used to be in football. They are on TV all the time, they win, so therefore Notre Dame is my team!

    I would wager that 75% of so-called Laker fans have never even been to California.

    There are a handful of knowledgeable Lakers fans who post here, but the vast majority are disrepectful, annoying, frontrunning idiots who really do not know about basketball and believe that simply being fans of a honored franchise somehow gives them a deluded sense of en lement and level of respectabilty that they haven't earned on a personal level.
    Just to reiterate, the Lakers have won championships . . . the fans have won nothing. Unless they give out trophies for post championship rioting.
