@ hatin Casey
Well, it would be pretty interesting if YOU were one of the judges![]()
Doesn't Casey even get some because-he's-from-Austin cool points?
I like him ... but even if I didn't, I hope he gets better soon.![]()
Ha. The more feet of piss Austin is covered with the better. I have a sincere hate for Austin.
On that note, I dont dislike him. His performance was all but overwhelming. Bad song choice and he didn't do a good job in the first place. Go back and check out his performance on youtube or wherever. He danced around the lyrics, timing was a little shaky and he frankly didnt hit the scream/grunts that are a signature of the song. When I think of singing that song really doesnt pop into mind either. To me, it simply doesn't showcase any true singing and his performance showed that imho tbh fwiw. At times it looked like he was going to point the mic at the crowd to sing alonga big pet peeve of mine.
Interesting comment about Austin...I tend to feel that Austin is the lesser of any other evils/cities in Texas....
oh well....
You and everyone else, silver. I can count on one hand the number of people i've ever known who've not loved it here, and of those, most are san antonio homers who think just cause their city is bigger that automatically equals better, cooler, etc. we're the envy of the state and i'm a-okay with that.
You know, I'm not trying to start no S.A. vs. Austin smack thread...but I have noticed that S.A. at ude...
where I work I know many guys that commute from S.A. to Austin because the pay is so much better...
when I ask them why don't they just move here...
they give me a look like I had just sprouted a in' horn through my forehead...
they say," Austin in' sucks, I would never move to this piece of city!''
WTF?
What?! How could you not like Austin? It's one of the best cities to live in the U.S.
Ha. If you take away the arrogant pricks and jackasses that do not know how to drive you might be on to something. Might.
i always thought dallas was the city with arrogant, pretentious pricks and houston with the ty drivers. meh.
Welll yeah. Dallas does indeed have arrogant pretentious pricks but there's more land up here to smooth them out. Same amount of pricks but just not enough land down there in "weird" town Austin to make them less prominent. Oh, and houston is just a cauldron of crap. It's The Armpit of Texas.
You're saying that San Antonio drivers are ok?
I'd be rich if I had a dollar for every asshole san antonio driver who tried to cut me off...then try to start a fight...
not to mention the idiots on cell phones, the endless road work, please...
there must be something OTHER than traffic to place san antonio above all other texas cities...
You are a deeply disturbed individual. I would think that people like you would be satisfied that you have oozed into every crevice of the state, making Austin the only refuge from the rampant dumbassedness of the rest of Texas. You don't even have a legitimate complaint other than judgmental generalizations and culturally re ed nitwitticisms. You wouldn't hurt anyone's feelings if you never come to the ATX again. Be my guest to stay the out, hoss.
Kinda harsh IMO...Viva Las Espuelas is alright...if he ever spent some real time in ATX and got a little of S.A. out of him...
he would probably recognize what we already know...I grew up in S.A...but I generally felt like a fish out of water and just thought I was different that other S.A. folks...
I discovered a few nicer places in Cali and other places in the east...then when I thought of returning to Texas I re-visited S.A....and in five minutes I knew I could never live there again...
I checked out ATX..and it felt strangely unlike other texas cities...and I felt like I could actually breathe again...and stayed...and it has been a pleasant surprise.
Maybe . . . no point in beating around the bush though.
I hope Paul McDonald sings a song by someone we know.![]()
And takes a piss before he sings.
And then leaves the show. In any way, shape or form.
Oh come on guys., he's got a unique voice.I would not be upset if Thia or Stefano sucked ass tonight.
![]()
It's unique, yeah, but he's just boring. I don't really care for his voice and don't think it's that good.
I think it's interesting how we all have our own definition of a good voice. In todays music a voice doesn't have to be a "trained" voice with vibrato, falsetto, etc. A perfect example is Taylor Swift. She has a terrible voice(IMHO), but with studio magic, her voice sounds great. Stefano IMO has a better voice than Paul McDonald, but like Judyntx said his unique (soft) voice is what todays young folks like.
I looooooove the song Stefano sang.![]()

I think Paul just "goofied" dance his way out of the compe ion!!!
Casey Abrams.....he sucked!!!
Finally checking it out. What's with this horrible judging? Coddling, maybe?
Anyway. Naima, eh. Paul didn't piss beforehand and sucked. Thia sounded good but not great. Shakes, was bad as in bad. Haley just started and ughhh.
