Lakers are very tough to beat when their role players are scoring..that's why I was surprised so many people overanalyzed the Spurs game..Lakers always have the advantage inside, but it's usually negated by their poor shooting from outside..

When mediocre players like Artest, Blake, Brown and whoever else are making a positive impact, they're impossible to beat..usually you pressure the paint against them, and let those players(+ Fisher, Barnes) beat you..if they are actually capable of making a significant impact, you aren't going to beat them..

They're also very difficult to beat when Kobe makes himself the #3 option, but that won't happen too often, especially under the bright lights..

I agree with mystar though, the Mavs take way too many bad shots..

Kobe is 5-15 and the Lakers are still keeping this around double digits for most of the game.. Mavs really need to man up in the middle and stop Bynum and Pau from dominating the game.

Win or lose just glad to see Bynum impacting the game ... if he had shown up in the first half of the MIA game and he finishes strong here ...Lakers could esily be on a 10 game win streak.

Though Im impressed, if he gives us this kind of effort on Monday ...I'll be more so. He faces Dwight.

Brian Cardinal always makes an effort to foul extra hard on clear cut scoring opportunities... its like he tries too hard to come off as a physical/tough guy because he cant do it with his style of game.

    Its pretty funny.

It'll be interesting to see which Bynum shows up in the playoffs..he has had these dominant stretches in January/February/March every season, but he's been virtually a non-factor in the playoffs..

Lakers look very smooth without Kobe, as usual..more ball movement, less isolation, more pounding inside, no lazyness on D..

Odom with a dumb play driving to his right Bynum had the paint sealed ...

Great pass by Blake I was pissed he didnt shoot coming of the pinch-post screen ... but a great pass to LO ...that is how you beat a zone ...

Terry/Beaubois/Kidd/Barea/Brewer 9-30 from the field..horrible perimeter play from the Mavs..Lakers' weak link is the perimeter, on both sides, if you're getting outplayed by them there, especially by a significant margin, you aren't going to beat them..

TBH Lakers would still be scary without Kobe... imagine the ball being pounded into Pau and Bynum 50 times a night
