Perkins has very little to do with the Celtics' slide IMO, they were fine without him, and he looks broken anyways..unless somebody wants to play the locker room card, but I don't think guys like KG, Pierce and Allen are mentally weak at all..
I called the Celtics wearing down at this point, it isn't surprising at all..I don't think they're done though..they aren't going a 100%, they needed to tone it down to conserve energy for the playoffs, like they did last season..they will probably end up with the 3 seed, but they will be better off for it..

That probably is the case. Also, Rondo playing like garbage the past two games sure hasn't helped much. Still, I feel frustrated as a fan, because that number one seed is slipping out of our grasp, because we're losing to bad teams. (I'd understand if we were losing to good teams.)
I hope that Perkins isn't broken, but that may be the case. If so, it definitely has an affect on the deal. I'm still not sold on Krstic or Green yet though. We'll see come playoff time what they're made of.

didn't boston do this last year though? in fact, they lost to the nets about the same time last year, and it was the 09-10 nets.
Actually, they went 27-27 after Christmas IIRC. Most Boston fans, including myself, figured they'd be out second round. Last year was a pleasant surprise, up until the last game of course.

But, Rondo is really killing the Celtics when it counts, he is good at the fast break but when itīs more a halfcourt game he canīt do anything...
It almost seems his shot has regressed a bit over the season. He also is still too timid when he's in foul trouble.

A lot of flat ears in Boston over the way Perkins was paid, handled and treated. We're not privy to it, but, the manifestations are starkly evident. We'll get the once upon a time when deemed appropriate by Boston mgmt & NY/Stern.
The Celts are past their expiration date. When your best offensive option is running a creaky Ray Allen off of 4 illegal screens, your championship dreams are most likely over.
If Gasol hadn't of played like such a soft little euro-boy in '08, this convenient collusion between McHale & Ainge would've all been for naught. Imagine, getting intimidated by Garnett...
But all's well that ends well - the Celtics fans got a championship to chew on for the next 20 years as the team slides back into oblivion. Until the league decides it needs to engineer rivalries again that is.
