NO, Kobe is still better and still a champ as much as I hate that lol.. Dirk is still very good though, one of the best.
tbh if i remember correctly, Howard was the only Mavs player that stepped up in that series. Maybe Devin did but I remember Jho doing work.

yep it was J-Ho, Stack had some moments off the bench but that was the last we saw of the J-Ho we all once loved
tbh yeah devin sucked major ass but J-Ho had this line through the 6 games:
21.3 ppg,9.8 rpg,2.8apg. 51% shooting,38.9% from 3 and 70% from the line.

Howard was a in baller from 05-07. That could slash into the paint and get to the line while having a somewhat consistent midrange jumper. He played great defense too but then Smokey kicked in and he became a stepback jumpshooting black hole who was injured year after year. He showed up in the 09 series vs. the Spurs(lol 28 points on a bum ankle) but since then he has reverted back to being a ty basketball player rotting in Washington.

Devin went into a s after JRich blocked the out of his attempted layup. JHo was alright, true, but with the attention that they were paying to Dirk the Mavs wings should have had open layup after open layup.
though to be fair, Dirk also wasn't great at passing out of double teams like he is now, plus the Mavs had no off the ball movement at all. more than anything that was Avery's greatest mistake, he turned a once great offensive team into a pure isolation-type plays, straight out of the 90s NBA playbook. When Dirk was being swarmed, the other players had no idea where to go.

Offense was basically iso Dirk in the middle of the floor or on the elbow and let him break down his man. GS sent an extra man on Dirks blindside which ed up the entire offense imo.
+Baron, Sjax,Barnes making every ing 3 pointer.
