Obama's been mailing it in since his HC vision was bas ized.
Obama's a good leader in your opinion?
Obama's been mailing it in since his HC vision was bas ized.
usa should not do anything tell japan forgives the usa debt
obamas presidency failed when he spouted off about closing gitmo before he had a plan about what he was gonna do with all the detainees there. that was what, his first day in office when he was signing that legislation to close it?
So are we going to be the ones stuck patrolling this or will the French and Euros do it?
Libya announced cessation of aggression in the past couple hours.
Sounds like FR and UK, both big consumers of Libyan carbon stuff, gonna lead the work.
Now to arm and support the Libyan rebels.
Then on to Bahrain, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, ...
Also, what I was reading this morning seems to think that the military thinks that a no fly zone will not be enough to turn the tide. If its not going to be enough and Qadaffi wins anyway, what the was the point other than making us look stupid as ?
flex a little muscle.
Too little too late? Maybe. But at least airforce will get to stretch their legs.
It only took them a week or two to decide that bombing civilians and rebels from jets was a bad move.
Go go UN powers go!
oops. Seems like Obamacare worked
Libya announced a "immediate" cease-fire and a halt to military action Friday, hours after the U.N. Security Council authorized the use of force to protect besieged civilians in Libya.

The lion's share of credit probably goes to the Sec'y of State on this one.
This mother er accuses the Japanese government of lying for a week then immediately believes the Libyan government. Classic.
another thing, when the is France on board with us. This is unbelievable. France is ready to roll with the US in a war.
you can call it all you want but this strategizing by Obamacare has not failed yet in my book.
Did it? Pretty sure the cease fire doesn't include Gaddafi's resignation. While it's a good thing that he's not going to be bombing his own people anymore, he's still in power. So what really got accomplished here?
prevention or at least delay of a bloddy massacre?
People are actually buying into the cease fire? That isn't going to last and I think we all know it. Qadaffi is definitely going to test that no fly zone too. I don't buy for a second he's just going to curl up into the fetal.
What option do they have? Other than a full-scale invasion/incursion into Libya?
There's a lot more complexities here than just bomb-Libya.
Why not Yemen and Bahrain, too? Those dictators are both killing their demonstrators. How to choose? Does the war on Libya encourage Bahrain and Yemen to keep going?
Remember how Poppie Bush encouraged the marsh Shiites to rise up against Saddam, then Poppie did nothing as Saddam slaughtered them and drained their marshes.
Ghadafi knows his army is broken to even put up a little fight vs. a real army. He was just bullying his citizens.
Obamacare called his bluff.
totally different. Bahrain and Yemen kings have backing of Bush family best friends the Saudis. Plus they are not about to commit mass murder on women and children.
France and England called his bluff. Obama just followed their lead.
Plus, we're still left with the question "now what"?
IMO, it's nice to see America not being first to rush to the battlelines halfway around the world for a change. Let someone else lead and police the middle east for a while, we don't have the scratch for it.
I have been fine with the united states just sitting back on this one. Now i don't know what to think.
We won't do anything now that there is a "cease fire"
When you call a no fly zone the first thing you do is bring in the B2's and knock out all their air defenses.
That ain't happening now...
