I know some of you Spurs forum members like him and think that he has pretty high potential. I on the other hand do not like him as a player on the spurs team.

    Hill is a PG/SG

    Breakdown

    As a SG

    Undersized
    Not such a good shooter

    As a PG

    Can't dribble
    Can't pass

On top of all of this it appears pressure gets to him on the court and often plays scared. I would also like to add that I think he is an overrated defender.

I say we need to ship the guy in the summer. What do you guys think? If you like the guy, please tell me why.

He has been really bad, but so has RJ. Spurs need them both to really step up and I trust Hill more than RJ tbh...

Hill is good shooter?, and good defender, not a great defender but he does a solid job, and has solid speed for a guy his frame.

He needs to get pack to standing at those corner 3's, but he is not great and creating offense for others, but isn't a bad passer or dribbler for a guy who has never played pg his entire life.

Looks like he is lacking a whole lot of confidence out there. Can't produce much offense if that's the case.

You're probably right if he continues to plateau in terms of defensive potential, but I liked his defense on Terrry tonight and Terry usually does very well against the Spurs.
Jefferson's not playing very good defense right now, so it's been up to Hill to step it up on D and I agree he hasn't done that well as of late - not including tonight.

.. He needs to regain his confidence before the playoffs .. We will need him badly because he is one of our fineness defenders .. Hopefully he gets his game back on track soon ..

Hill is overrated as on this board. i'll admit, there was a time (early last season) when i thought he could be really, really, good, but i've gotten my head out my ass since then.

I at the people who wanted this guy to replace Parker last season. Dude has been overrated and rather have Neal or Anderson get minutes over this guy. Too bad Quinn sucks so bad to even take G Hills spot at PG.

I trust Neal over Hill at this point. Hope is fading fast that Hill can return to form. Purely a subjective take, based on Hill's often frustrating timidity and hesitation. Neal ain't perfect, but he adds a level of confidence and composure that we need IMO.

His defense was there last night, but his confidence continues to look shaky. I still like the kid and expect his game to improve by the time the play offs arrive. Yes, Homer here.

There were times he was absolutely the worst player on the floor. It's encouraging that the Spurs were pretty good despite poor game from so many players due solely to their defense.

Yeah, he might have to go. His defense is aight. When he runs the offense he takes forever to call a play and he's shooting is inconsistent. At this point is better for him to go all balls out than to hold back.

I like hill but he's not going to be a superstar, or in perennial all star conversation, he's a 2 guard, that has limited range on his jump shot. He can play some time at point but is never going to be that comfortable in the role. Pop has apparently told him to be Mr. Defense and not worry about offense which I sort of disagree with, since he's a pretty good slasher and has a decent pull up. Overall borderline starter who gets you good defense 10 points 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal, while bothering the other teams best perimeter guy for 22 minutes per night. What more do you really want from a back-up combo guard?

Neal has the same problem, he's turning into a pretty good back-up 2 guard/ combo guard, but isn't exactly going to impress anyone on defense, though he's not a sieve either. You're looking at your number 6 and number 7 guys and wondering why they aren't superstars..... This is a league leading team everyone is up for them and watching the tapes. Its also a team with some weaknesses that can be exploited.
