Probably no longer than 5, tbh... And that's assuming CP3 has one good game, which is no longer a given...
    bro you scared or something?

don't worry though because more than likely the Hornets will get the 7th seed and you guys won't have to deal with em.

How do you get that I'm scared when I'm predicting your weak ass team wouldn't last over 5 games against us?

Not worried. I'll be just disappointed we didn't get the easier series, that's all.

Oh God, I'd freakin' love for the Hornets to drop to 8. If for no other reason, to shut BR up. Memphis is the better team anyway. They'd give the Lakers (or the Spurs) a tougher time than the ing Hornets.

Yes, cause it makes sense to quit trying more than half way through the season instead of demanding a trade before the trade deadline, if he didn't want to be here.

Both times the Hornets beat the Spurs, Thornton had big games. Last time I checked, he got traded away. Without him, it will be a sweep.

It's easy to see why the Hornets are floundering. First, CP3 has turned into a lazy doesn't give a crap player. Secondly, your coach is playing Trevor Ariza 41 minutes. You don't play a guy like Trevor big minutes. Trevor chucks the ball every chance he gets at a low percentage.

This is easy, sit CP3 down and play him 20 minutes a game. o Kitty could play guard better than CP3 right now. Give about 20 minutes of Ariza's minutes to Landry. Between CP3 and Willie Green they were a combined 0-13 vs the Celtics. Give Jarrett Jack more minutes in place of CP3.

Coach trying to convince David West to stick with Hornets
    Kurt Helin

Monty Williams has proven a pretty good coach so far this season.

He looks like a lot better coach when Chris Paul and David West are playing. He admits as much. Those also happen to be two guys who can opt out of deals the next two summers. So Williams has set to work.

That starts with forward David West, who is expected to opt out of the $7.5 million he is due next season and test the free agent market. Williams told the Times-Picayune he has been working on West.

“He’s earned the right to choose and I’ve talked to him about that on a few occasions,’’ Williams said. “I’ve tried to show him how diligently I work and prepare so he’ll want to come back here.

“For us to be in position to keep him is a good thing, but there are going to be teams that come after him. But the cool thing is he knows what we represent and understands where we’re going. He’s going to be the flagship leading us there.’’

West could be the big domino here. Keep him and there is a chance of keeping Chris Paul because West can be a key guy to help build around. West goes and it becomes a lot harder to keep CP3.

It’s smart of Williams to lay the groundwork. But money is going to talk. With the NBA running the Hornets while the search for an owner, it will be interesting to see how much they are willing to offer (under whatever the new collective bargaining agreement allows).
