It's fair.
Anyone ever eat there?
Been twice. Once I used the drive through thought it was meh but gave them a chance again like a year later. Just as bad if not worse. I could spend a few paragraphs detailing how bad it was but I don't even feel like it.
Is there anyone that's actually been there and thought it was good?
It's fair.
what do they server? (i know seafood or hopefully seafood)
but is it fried, grilled?
is it like sea island?
Mostly fried seafood, but there's a lot of variety. Sort of a Mexican flair, they have a fish caldo.
never been but it must really suck if you cant make fried sea food taste good
Tastes like your mom Tbh imo ftw
Is it a Long John Silver's type of place? Never been to LJS personally but some people really love it. I went to Barnacle Bill's (I think that was the name; owned by Bill Miller's as I recall) a couple of times and was impressed cuz it was better than I expected. But it's gone now.
Yes, i've eaten there before. I just had JA's a couple of weeks ago. I like the regular fish plate with the three piece fish, ff's, and rice! I think the fish is real good!! What don't you like about it?
IMHO, the best seafood place has to be Rudy's Seafood on South Flores St. The "three piece fish plate" comes with about 4 or 5 pieces instead of 3, ff's, and coleslaw. BEST FISH PLACE IN TOWN!!!
Barnicle Bills was the ! Stupid ass management couldn't handle it.
Went to J. Anthony's once, it was total ing .
Wont ever go again.
I miss Barnacle Bill's, too bad those ing richers couldnt get along.
Never been there but during Lent we hit up the Knights of Columbus fish fry on Friday nights. Good stuff.
don't be too suprised when you see Barnacle Bills opening up again really soon!
Please do tell...
Nah, that place.
Best Fried Fish in San Antonio = Rudys Seafood off of South Flores on the southside. You can thank me later.
if its opening as whatever hte that place is on 87 and 410 then no thank you.
I actually had some really good catfish at this buffet in Pearsall a couple weeks ago.
Yeah that place is horrible.
El Siete Mares in front of lady of the lake is good...
Never heard of it. You should try The Palm sometime though, it's pretty good.
Did you punch the owner in the face twice?
I'm surprised anyone liked Barnacle Bill's that much.
I always thought that Sea Island was comparable in price but better in quality.
I figured there's a reason why SI has made it and expanded for more than 50 years while BB came and went in less than 15.
Fish City Grill sons
Bourbon Street is also money for seafood. but for Fried Fish = Rudys
Their demise had little to do about in store profits from all I have read and heard.
