what do Kobe's stats look like without Gasol?
And lol at including Wizards Jordan in your argument
MJ won EASY because he had it easyPERIOD...
You "Stat" guys that say Kobe depended on Shaq let me up your world for a minute...Say goodbye to the whole argument that Kobe needed Shaq. If he did then Pippen was a wet ty for MJ... Put your big girl panties on and deal with it..
Jordan without Pippen (5 seasons):
.430 win %
0 les
0 MVPs
0 Finals MVP
0 Finals appearances
0 Playoff series wins

what do Kobe's stats look like without Gasol?

say what you want but you can't have it both ways and this is before his wizards career.![]()
Kool Aid Man
Jordan without Pippen... hm... I seem to remember there were two decent teams in the 80's he may have come up against...
If only I could remember...
it doesn't matter we all wanted to be like Mike at some point...it was a catchy ing tune....lol
sure about that brah?
Your point is moot.
Kobe didn't win without Shaq and wouldn't had won without Gasol so yeah, your whole Jordan-Bryant stat is useless.
Gasol (unlike Pippen) never once came to within a game of the finals by himself no less twice, and Pippen (unlike Kobe) never went back to back without MJ. You see what I’ve just done boys and girls…Sure, Kobe played with Shaq during the first 3 peat, but last time I checked Shaq couldn't win until Kobe arrived ( in the metaphysical sense)![]()
Shaq and Kobe both were considered the two best players in the league. Where Shaq couldn’t get it done… Kobe did and vice versa. Remember during the first 3-peat you could game plan around and stop Shaq but Kobe couldn’t be stopped by no one..just ask the Spurs. Lol
Again MJ won easy because he had it easyPERIOD.
Especially during the 90’s. In the 80's, MJ was Kevin Garnett, he couldn't pass the first round of the playoffs. When Bird, Magic, and the Pistons got old and begin to hang it up, then and only then did MJ begin to win. In the 90’s he played against pretty empty teams, those which pretty much had one superstar, and that was it. Conversely Kobe lost to a team with multiple HOF’s and All-stars but he also beat that same team in Boston. MJ never did that because he flamed out.
Let’s look at MJ’s compe ion at either guard position during his prime.. His prime era was lacking with the exception of 3 players it was relatively light if you ask me. He also faced pretty much weak defenders on a nightly basis. He was a better defender by virtue of playing inferior players. If Kobe had to defend MJ’s compe ion of the 90’s he’d look ALL-World defender too. Lol
MJ's Main Compe ion:
John Stockton, Tim Hardaway, Gary Payton, Reggie Miller, Dominique Wilkens, Kevin Johnson, Tom Chambers, Rolondo Blackman, Fat Lever, Chris Mullin, Hersey Hawkins, Ricky Pierce, Alvin Robertson, Clyde Drexler, Jeff Hornacek, Dan Majerele, Terry Porter, Sean Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Lu ck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_, Kenny Anderson, Mark Price, John Starks, Mookie Blaylock, Mitch Richmond, Glen Rice, Terrell Brandon, Christian Laettner, Steve Smith, Kenny Smith, Bobby Phils, Craig Ehlo, Muggsy Bouges etc etc….
Kobe has always dealt with compe ion at the guard spot on both ends of the ball all the ing time…
Kobe's Main Compeition:
Offensive side: Reggie Miller, Allen Iverson, Grant Hill, T-MAC, Vince Carter, Michael Redd, Jason Kidd, Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Paul Pierece, Ray Allen, Derick Rose, Steve Nash, Russell Westbrook, Rondo, Monta Ellis, Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson, Mike Finley, CP3, Baron Davis, etc etc
Defensive side: Ron Artest, Bruce Bowen, Arron Afflalo, Thebo Shefalosa, Dahntay Jones, James Posey, Tayshaun Prince, Doug Christie, Rueben Patterson, Matt Barnes, Tony Allen, Shane Battier, Raja Bell, Stephen Jackson, Eric Snow, Andre Igoudala, Nicolas Batum
I dare anyone to make a case that MJ’s compe ion was stiffer than what Kobe faces on both sides of the ball. So in conclusion the only time MJ had to work hard was during the 80’s in which he flamed out., repeatedly. The Western conference has been very strong for the last decade + with the Mavericks (10 straight 50 + wins), the Spur le yrs, and the Wylie Coyote Suns, along with the Blazers/ Kings in the earlier part of the decade.
MJ- One of the greatest ever, ok fine but “The greatest ever”, hands down? No. He;s not the greatest scorer (a Laker is - Kareem) He’s not the greatest stats guy ( a Laker is Wilt) and he’s not the greatest ring bearer ( a Celtic is – Bill Russell) MJ is called the best because during the 90’s basketball was boring and he brought excitement back to it as it was fading. That’s it and that’s all.
The biggest difference between Kobe & MJ is that Kobe was able to win without another Hall of Famer playing alongside him. MJ couldn't do squat without Pippen. This should put an end to it all really:
as sure as I want to be....![]()
Christian Laetner? How ing stupid can you get you dumb ?
Here's the point:
At one point in time.... SHAQ>KOBE (even you must admit that...Kobes 1st 3 rings)
At NO point in time..... PIPPEN>MJ (not for one season..not for one game...PERIOD)
Do you remeber Kobe losing to the Suns every year in the 1st round??? Cause I sure do. Not like he's not subject to bad years either. UNTIL he got gasol (1 of the best big men in the game) and 2 other 7 footers.....even the great Kobe Bean Bryant lost games.
Don't get me wrong...Kobe=one of the best EVER!!! But your arguement is 100% ludicris.
Greatest Basketball Players of All Time:
1. Michael Jeffrey Jordan
2-INFINITY. A bunch of guys not named Michael Jeffrey Jordan
I like how you forgot to include the likes of Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Allen Houston, Anfernee Hardaway, etc...
Yea those Laettner-Jordan matchups were ing classics.
He is effectively trolling, b/c there is no way a human being can be this goddamn stupid
I guess MJ never played against Isiah Thomas?
And saying Shaq could be "game planned" around during the first three-peat. Nice to know you started watching basketball in 2005.![]()
Hey listen numnuts I said his position or either gaurd position...I could name a slew of other players that Kobe played against from MJ's era too...the point is direct compe ion....MJ had it easyPeriod....last time I checked he never had to gaurd a D Wade, Lebron, AI, Ray Allen, Paul Pierece, Durant to name a few...
ing Craig Ehlo, John Starks, and Mark ing Price...get the outta here with that BS...Kobe would have torched MJ's compeition...![]()
re-read my post...He lost repeatedly didn't beat the Pistons until they were pretty much done...He couldn't beat them in their Prime...
Yea Laettner was probably one of the better guards around in the NBA at that time. He was silky smooth.
o midget....
Wanna bet 5 bills on it?
listen none of you clowns can legitimately prove me worng...If so I'd like to hear it...MJ was a great player like I said but greatest I'm not buying that the media is selling...I'm not on the wagon with the masses...MJ had it easyPeriod...say it with me...MJ had it easyPERIOD....no refuting that...
Hey
dumb
wanna bet some money on it?
Or do you just like smearing your stinky smegma laced all over this board just so you can smell it?
