Pop says "4 or 5 games" on Duncan. Might not miss 2 full weeks. Says injury won't threaten Duncan's availability for playoffs. Blog to come.
    Even better news!

Why start Splitter instead of Blair or someone else? Pop: "We're a small team. We need some size out there."

I'm thinkin that means about 6 or 7 games for Duncan. Still good news. Plenty of time to get back on the court and into a little rhythm before the playoffs

Exactly. I think most people assume that Pop really meant he'll be back in 5 games. I see it as 8 games max. Either way, as long as he's back with a couple of games left, we should be fine.

Duncan will miss 4 or 5 games 'for sure'. We wait it out to see when he'll actually get back.

..."Once he gets back on the court in a couple of days, we’ll be able to tell more,” Popovich said. “But four or five games for sure.”

He doesn't need more than 25 minutes,
I'd rather see old man McD get some PT along with Boner and Novakaine.
Although I think Bonner has been playing awful as of late

Splitter is well out of game shape. The al ude should give him some problems also. Not sure how many minutes he can handle at the moment. Hopefully around 25. He played that last game and was clearly fatigued leading to missed layups and him slowly getting back on D. Throwing him out there for anymore then that right off the bat isn't the right thing to do for him or the team.

It will be interesting to see how the Spurs play against this new look Nuggets team. I want to see a ton of ball movement on offense, and solid team defense.

Great news all around. I expect Tiago to have a solid game. Spurs need Parker/Gino to be superstars and can we get some.......................

Yes please. I don't want to see his usual 2 - 3 points on 1-3 shooting.

Honestly, this is why RJ was brought in and why he is paid the big bucks. Spurs needed more firepower. They needed someone who was an athlete and who could fill it up, especially when one of the big 3 wasn't cutting it. Now is that time. Get hot going into the playoffs, RJ. We need you.
