My dry cleaner has a huge Keurig model & I use it a couple mornings a week…Italian Roast is pretty good….The machine is very fast & convenient…But nothing hits the spot IMO as Costco’s Dark Blend…

I thought I heard Starbucks is going to come out with a single serve coffee maker for less soon.

No, the regular Kirkland ground coffee in the can…IMO it is the best dark roast available…Nice bite to it without being bitter…

This system requires no daily cleaning and produces high quality real italian espresso coffee.

I've had one for more than a year and I can vouch for the ease of use and quality of the coffee.

Looks pretty sweet. How much? Can you use your own beans in it? I have a Bialetti but I'd like to try a machine.

There's a version that allows you to use your own bean, but you lose the "no cleaning" feature. I'm using the iperespresso version that only works with Illy capsules and frankly I have yet to find a better Italian espresso.

    More specifically this one: http://www.illy.com/wps/wcm/connect/...-iperEspresso/

395$ Available in US online shop: http://www.illyusa.com/webapp/wcs/st...rancis-x7-E307

Wow. I'm sure it's a great machine, but $395?! F' that. And I've never tried Illy but Lavazza SuperCreama is pretty damn good. I don't know if you say that in respect to these capsule or what.

Lavazza SuperCrema is a good coffee. Illy is a superior coffee (IMO). And not I'm not referring to just the capsule but Illy coffee in general at home or at the espresso bar in Milan .

    You should try it.

$395 is actually cheap. It's the cheapest true espresso machine that was featured in a recent test of the best 5 espresso machine for home it came in #3 (it was in a German magazine I read in an airport - didn't remember which though). It was by far the cheapest of the bunch (the second cheapest in position 5 was double that).

The best espresso machines for home use:

But these ARE expensive (but they did take places 1 and 2 of that test)

Actually that's second only to real espresso machine and miles ahead of most coffee makers. We have several in different sizes at home.

The loudest fight I ever saw was when the Italian wife of a friend caught him washing the "Moka" (Bialetti coffee maker) with detergent. She was yelling at him that she just barely "broke in" the Moka (it only took a year or so...) and he now ruined it. I'm not sure if she would have gotten half as mad had she caught him in bed with Sophia Loren
