The only one that deserves to go home tonight is Haley. Everyone else did pretty good, Jacob and James being the best imo. The Top 10 go on tour, so hopefully American doesn't want Haley on tour to screw it up.
Paul or Naima need to go.
I liked Haley's performance this week. I also don't think she's nearly as bad as everyone else things, especially with Paul getting passes because of his looks or his "uniqueness"

I thought everyone was pretty good. I'm tired of Pia's boring ballads, though she has a beautiful voice. She stands there like she's singing the National Anthem.
My bottom three would be Stefano, Haley and Paul this week. (Though I generally like Stefano.)

Ever since Interscope records arrived on the show...the show has nosedived badly...
Even though this years talent is way above any other season-these "producers" have completely sterilized every contestant....
these "genius" producers are a good glimpse into why music has generally gone in the ter the past few years...every record company has their own version of these guys.
Stefano-HAD the music in him...he could move you to tears when he sang and poured his heart out...last night ...they said it was a Motown theme...so these genius producers gave him the song " o" by Lionel Ritchie....Motown era? this was an 80's song.
Even though Stefano had already stated that his idol was Stevie Wonder--they gave him that cheesy Ritchie song...
then they instruct him to open his eyes...J Ho tells him to be an actor when he sings...
All I know is that -before- they tried helping him...he was consistently giving people those "goose bumps" moments...what a disgrace...
Thia...was given the song "Heat Wave"...
The "Hook" of that song is when it builds up to the part where Martha and the Vandellas arrive to scream, "yeah,yeah yeah yeah...yeah yeah"
and what do these morons do...??
they have her go, "ooo ooo --oooh ooh"
Taking away the hook in their attempt to be modern...
The only real good performance was the Durbin kid...he seems to be getting better...
The country kid...they give him a Stevie Wonder song....someone who's vocal key/range is nowhere in the same universe as this kids range...the first verse is LOW..and he can kinda make it interesting...the rest of the song is the kid trying to sing a high range that leaves him straining worse than I do in the shower...he should'a sang some Lou Rawls or something that enhanced his voice...
Don't kid yourself thinking that these contestants pick their own songs...these producers are trying to mold these kids so they can sell records as soon as the show season ends...
This is also why very few Idol contestants actually make great music after leaving the show...they are just doing what these companies and producers tell them to do---and these producers have no in' clue as to what makes good music.
It seemed like this might be a promising group...but if Interscope is here to stay...I guess... this show...I might watch one more week of this ...

The cowboy singer didn't do too bad. As long as he keeps it on the down low Jennifer will swoon.

Yes, according to TMZ, the current batch of “Idol” contenders "freaked out" when a series of seemingly mundane woes in their Beverly Hills house, including flickering lights and a sudden spider problem, were capped off with a ghost sighting. Several singers were said to have seen a sheet move around the mansion of its own volition last week and that, in addition to the other troubles and a newly leaking roof, was enough to prompt the group to demand new, improved, phantom-free digs.
Sources told TMZ that show producers gave in and recently relocated the haunted “Idol” hopefuls.

i havenet watched last nights show, but from some facebook staus's, people seem to think that the top 11 is pretty darn good this year. Ill have to youtube a couple of the songs at work.
The judges are ing soft...can't believe they already used the save on Casey.
Was hoping they kept him for the tour. He's a distinct performer and I think he brings something different. If Haley (was in the top 8, wow) would have been at the bottom she'd be going home. But Casey brings such variety to an already varied Top 10 that it's hard to not bring him on tour for some fun performances. They did the right thing, all Top 11 win in some way.
I was shocked they saved Casey! But I'm glad they did.

I think the whole thing was "staged" IMO!! As it is, it was quite a shock that Casey was in the bottom, but then the AI producers needed to add more dramatic effect and stop Casey's singing and stage that drama, that horrible acting! Does anyone really think that the judges have that kind of power that they could just stop a performance and do what they want?
I know everyone has their own flavor in music and what a good singer is. Casey's style, voice, just isn't a voice I would listen too. I don't think he has a good voice or is AI material. I think Casey is more of a "Weird Al Yankovich" kind of character. Espacially with that "crazy look" in his eyes.
Exactly. He is a good performer but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a good singer. I'm not putting AI on some high pedestal at all but he's no AI. And his er performance......pffffffffff
