We need a damn win, especially against a good team. I hope they play.
So basically:
Duncan is jumping up and down hitting jumpers,
Manu is punting basketballs around,
Parker could play if we needed him,
They should play on Thursday. It's a big game and my fantasy team needs them.
We need a damn win, especially against a good team. I hope they play.
The Houston game is just as tough as the Celtics game. Probably a little tougher IMO. They've been playing very well lately.
WE NEED THE WIN, and that should be a huge boost to the team seeing those guys back out there after a long losing streak! If it does not net a win this next game (Hope it does) then it will be good fo the last 7 games no doubt!
We could all be sitting fine tommorow night late if the Mavs play well and beat LAL - One thing about the Mavs for all their ups and down they have been the streak stoppers several times this year. Best case, Mavs tank tonight and beat LAL tommorow and then we beat Boston. All goes well - Spurs magic number is down to 3 by midnight Th.
be interesting to see who plays. i doubt Tim and Manu don't play though. i don't think there will be any way to stop them.
...that was a confusing way to say that
If all our guys play I have no doubt we win. But I highly doubt the Mavs win in LA.
The Spurs "need" to work through this before the playoffs. That's far more important then a regular season win.
They should ALL be good to go....
It wasn't an unconfusing way to not say it.
So it would be safe to assume that if Pop doesn't play them all this Thursday he's definitely tanking for #2 seed?
this, lol

Not official, but: Tim Duncan's and Manu Ginobili's game jerseys hanging in their lockers. Usually, a tell-tale sign of who expects to play.
If anyone missed it, it's official. Everyone is playing tonight.
yesssssssssssssss!
yep just saw this on FaceBook:
The San Antonio Spurs
Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili will all play tonight without restrictions according to Coach Pop.
Good to know
Curious to see if Pop remains stubborn and leaves Splitter out of the rotation.
Only time will tell I suppose.

Tim Griffin
...He said Duncan particularly appeared ready to play.
“There was one day where he went one-on-one and practiced,” Popovich said. “He had a full practice yesterday and felt better this morning than he has felt.”
Those strong signs enabled Popovich to make his decision on Duncan differently than normal.
“Usually, I make him beat me up if he’s injured before we get him back in,” Popovich said. “But this time, it was pretty obvious that he’s ready to go.”
yes!!!!!GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!![]()
Same. To me, barring injury, this is probably the last hope for Splitter to be in the rotation. If he can't get in after how he's played recently and how the team has struggled, particularly defensively, then he never will. Pop has a reason to drop Blair now (we can debate Bonner-Blair all day, but we all know Bonner is safe). The change always needed to be made, but you don't want to risk upsetting chemistry while you're steamrolling the league. Now, there's adversity, so there's an opening to make a change.
I hope Pop doesn't decide that, because the Celtics will be playing small (O'Neal will probably play sparingly, so it'll mostly be Krstic-Davis manning the middle), it's okay for the Spurs to as well and match-up by playing Blair vs Davis. He needs to stop matching up with the opposition and make them match-up with the Spurs. Make Davis have to guard Splitter.
Unfortunately, I've been saying this since May of 06'.
Back to the topic though..
God I hope Splitter plays. By playing, I mean over 15 minutes. Not 5-8 meaningless minutes.
One can pray I suppose.
